One of the must-try pasta dishes at Greyhound Cafe is the Spaghetti with Dried Salty Fish (RM26). For me, this is pretty similar to an aglio olio, with the addition of holy basil leaves and chillies as well as the crispy salty fish (which is not to be mistaken for salted fish as this is quite lightly salted) which adds texture to the overall dish. I love the heat from the chillies and the fresh flavours from the herbs.

An upgraded version of Egg Benedict, Dean & Deluca's Zaatar Lamb Egg Benedict outclassed most Egg Bens in town. First, their English Muffin was a perfect match in this manner; unlike ordinary English Muffin, their version seemed to be chewier and less-prone to sogginess even being submerged in Hollandaise sauce and poached Egg for a while. The Hollandaise sauce was light and easy on the palate but still carrying the essential creaminess and discernible acidity. The pulled Lamb was a nice addition, the slight gamey flavor of the Lamb somehow complemented the entire dish, offering a meatier texture and dimension to the dish. It was a pity that the poached Egg was slightly overcooked though

Overall Rating: 8/10. I'm biased, perhaps. I enjoyed my coffee and will probably be back for another cuppa, but with the mass number of break and brunch eateries in Pavilion KL, I highly doubt that I will return just for the food. Plus, I didn't exactly feel the same cafe vibes that I did in Bangkok, here.

Pure Indulgence, 20 ringgit. If you are looking for something sweet to fill you up, then do give this a try. Pure Indulgence is another crowd favourite and it includes fluffy Belgian Waffles coated with Belgian chocolate sauce + Banana + strawberries + a scoop of ice cream. It was filling but I aint complaining, lol. My ice cream of choice was Chocolate. They had several other flavors like Matcha, Salted Egg, Durian D 24, French Vanilla. The ice creams are a Must Try. Rich and creamy, it was really good. Just a scoop by itself will cost you 7 Ringgit or if you want to indulge like me, have the whole works with waffles via Pure Indulgence. The waffles used are the same as the ones I got in Murakami. Top that waffle with some chocolate sauce and decadent chocolate ice cream? and some banana? Gooood Stuff. Delicious.

Laksa Pesto Pasta, 28 ringgit Anyways, if you forget about the pesto and simply view this dish as ‘Laksa Pasta’ – it was yummy. I loved the fact that they used a flat noodle as the pasta of choice because it sure was able to contain & retain more of the rich flavors of Laksa. It was a dry dish but the noodles were a lil wet, which worked as a glue of sorts and held all the ingredients together. There were a generous portion of clams prawns and calamari. Despite the minor blunder with the pesto, this dish as a whole was delicious.

Pour Over Coffee – RM27 Although the Pour Over Coffee that was served to us was black and without sugar, it had a slightly fruity taste and a mellow tone. The coffee also had a super strong aroma which is distinctively unique. Despite this we found the coffee to be quite light and easy on the mouth but the caffeine in it was certainly strong enough to keep us awake. The coffee is without a doubt extraordinary and not commonly available in Kuala Lumpur so it is definitely worth a try for coffee lovers.
