The experience at Mighty Monster was good enough but ultimately forgettable. However, this is one of the few places to get western food at MyTOWN Shopping Centre. MyTOWN is overwhelmingly Asian restaurants and cafes, and I’m just not feeling that kind of food often. The menu at Mighty Monster has enough tempting dishes that we would consider eating here again.
Overall cook noodles and sadly 3 slices of duck meat for real? Im paying RM 26 and I get 3 slices of duck breast meat which not even half of a full size duck breast meat.
Mighty Duck Ramen (RM 28) A hot bowl of ramen comes next where the sous-vide duck breast in peking marinate, 63 degree Celcious egg, goba roots, crispy Chinese broccoli and freshly made Japanese noodles in a miso based broth topped with the wakame salad.
I love their waffle with 2 scopes of ice cream (i tink only RM21), you can choose from 62% dark chocolate ice cream, 80% dark chocolate ice cream, milk chocolate ice cream etc. My favourite is their darkest chocolate ice cream, it looks like charcoal color, and a lower cocoa percentage. So good. MUST TRY!!!
Single Origin Dark Chocolate Ice Cream (RM 21) One of a MUST to order here is. Taste the different flavour profile of three single origin dark chocolate ice cream. The ice cream which is being showcase includes 64% Madagascar, 70% Dominican Republic and 72% Venezuela. In here; you will actually get the different taste of each chocolate ice cream and you can judge them with the acidity, fruitiness, bitterness as well as the intensity of the ice cream.
价钱公道, 巧克力的品质和服务都不错,值得一试的好地方。我一定会再回去品尝不同的甜点。
Two of us shared this light meal (MYR 4.50 nett) in between breakfast and lunch at Ikea, Cheras.
Light breakfast for two. MYR 10.40 nett only

All in all, the waffle was just like how I wanted it to be, the thick kind. Therefore, when I have a chance I will definitely revisit to try more waffles 🙂
Famous for their waffles, the Owls Cafe from Bukit Jalil has opened an outlet in MyTown. We’ve been to their original outlet, and found their waffles to be among the best in Klang Valley.
I wasn't impressed with any of the desserts I tried here. In fact, I pretty much want to forget it altogether. You probably might not be sampling the same dessert platter since the choice of these 8 petite portions changes depending on what the chef puts out. Hopefully, the next time you're there, the pastries selection tastes much better than it looks.
Pretty on plate in Taman Maluri Cheras is a patisserie dessert café is one place that would not disappoint any sweet tooth or fine dining lovers. With their ultimate selection of indulgent desserts, the menu is crafted with the finest and freshest ingredients in mind.
For a cafe-hopping experience that is a bit out of the ordinary, Pretty on Plate offers that and more. As this is still the first week of operation for them I believe there would be ongoing changes. Service is welcoming and attentive. My concerns? 1. The price is a bit steep for the plated desserts; considering the portion served. While I understand that (1) quality ingredients are used, (2) every plate is prepared upon order similarly to a fine dining restaurant, (3) every component on the plate is painstakingly made (some via technologically advance methods), the average customer might not be able to fully appreciate such details. 2. The brioche wasn’t as rich (buttery) as its name suggested and I thought it might have tasted better warm; versus hard and cold. Now imagine a buttery warm brioche with cold ice cream.. mmmmmm… 3. Aaron had said there will be more desserts in the coming weeks and I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the creation of some unconventional desserts; perhaps something of a signature that will set Pretty On Plate further apart from other cafes. No doubt the plated desserts concept is uncommon, but the 5 varieties offered centered around berries and chocolate (with the exception of key lime) which I thought was rather safe and universal. That said, I wish Aaron and his team all the best and many thanks for having me!
Overall, this cafe is more novelty based and first-time visits only. I wouldn’t be back to try more as their menu is also pretty limited and food quality is mediocre. The only saving grace is a cute spot for Instagram-pictures.
On top of their delicious chocolates, they do offer desserts like Tiramisu and Chocolate cakes and also their amazing cup of coffee.
We started with the Juan Valdez Signature which is their juici-licious burger. The burger comes amazingly delicious where every mouthful is filled with the aromatic and moist burger texture.
