Overall, despite the teething troubles, After One was an experience worth repeating. I will definitely try again either in a few months, or at a less busy time, to see if it’s settled in. I might revise the review then.

Toastie, 16 ringgit. Boy, this was delicious! If you are a sandwich and pesto fan – this dish is worth a try. Toastie is a combination of pesto + cheese + spinach + sunny side egg + mushroom + bread with a side of salad. First, there is a slice of toasted bread at the bottom with a generous amount of basil pesto spread on it. Above the pesto spread are 2 sunny side up eggs with a generous amount of sauteed mushrooms + cheddar cheese. Oooo man, sooooo yummy! A mix of crunciness from the bread, gooeyness from the egg and decadent cheezy mushrooms – simply da bomb. Loveee it.

Cafe Black Ink No.6 quietly surfaces at Off Jalan Yap Kwan Seng Kuala Lumpur last month, humbly serving a short selection of brunch items and rice bowls from their one page menu. Nothing big hoo-ha for the decorations or extraordinary fancy food to create attention on social media but, this is the part we love most.
