Kampar Curry Mee (S3), 10.50 ringgit. Man, this was da bomb! As soon as you slurp the first spoon, just the gravy along was enough to reel you in. I kid you not, we literally slurped everything and left the bowl empty at the end of it all – that was how yummy it tasted. In this bowl, you would taste everything they are known for – their curry me and their home made balls. A bowl filled with delicious, thick flavorful gravy, soft chewy mee hoon, generous portions of loh bak and 2 big fish balls. I can see now why their home made balls are popular, it was tasty and chewy, you’d taste meat from your first bite all the way through to your last bite. Very little to no flour used. I was very impressed.

I have always loved coffee citrus combinations (coffee and raspberry, coffee and honey lemon) but their yuzu tonic was the perfect balance of flavour profiles. Bonus points too for the ball of ice which melts slower and doesn't dilute the drink while keeping it consistently chilled. It was easy to see that my drink was crafted with attention and details and served with a profile card.

The Iced Chocolate was nice and refleshing. It was milky and chocolatty with the right amount of sweetness. I wish it came in a larger amount though, it finished rather quickly. Just as I was starting to enjoy it, it was all gone, lol

Ooooo man, this was delicious! Da bomb!! I would not mind having this dish again and again. It was wholesome – yummy and filling. The dish is made up of long grain spiced rice + a large portion of cottage cheese / paneer in buttery gravy + bindi / ladies finger + long beans. Both vegetables came with its flavorful dry gravy. It was an absolute delight indulging in this. Sooo good.

The dishes were yummy. The mash was buttery and smooth, having it with the gravy was da’ bomb. The sausage had a slightly tougher outer layer, the inside was meaty and chewy. I’d usually need some chili sauce on the side but it was not necessary here because the sausage with the mash provided me all the flavors I needed.

This was yummy. I thought what I’d be getting when I ordered this dish was the usual nasi lemak items – rice, egg, ‘kacang’, anchovies + chicken rendang. Not really. The sotong sambal was a surprise. It was slightly sweet, a tad spicy and you’d get a pretty large piece of squid. It was good. For the rendang, you’d get a juicy chicken thigh with some rendang sauce. Overall, the Nasi Lemak was tasty. I’d order it again.

I was surprised to see that there are two parts in one cube of soy meat - the top part is whitish in colour to represent the fatty part of pork and the bottom part has meat-like texture but they are all made from soy. To credit where it’s due, the minimalistic, warehouse-finished interior design and the effort to place some greenery in the restaurant is well done. The food is probably good enough to satisfy hotdog cravings but, however, nowhere near enough to knocking your socks off.

The sausages prove juicy & easy to enjoy - two of us easily finished five hot dogs (though we likely left behind some bread). Note however that the infusion of elements like cinnamon may turn out to be more subtle than expected, supplying nuanced dimensions of flavour instead of knock-out dynamics. There's potential for slow-burning pleasure, but probably no fireworks.

The cake was rather unique but only because I’ve never had a carrot cake with pineapple added into the mix. Initially, I thought I’d be getting a mix between sweet and salty tangyness but nope. There were different kinds of sweetness in there, all with just the right amount. Add on the cream cheese on the top, you’d get the distict taste that only a carrot cake would provide. The texture was light, yet dense and moist. A yummy dessert.

Piggie Pesto, 29 ringgit. This was good. It was a classic pesto pasta with smoked pork bacon and pork croutons. A lil dryer than the pesto pastas I usually have and with a whole lot lesser pesto sauce but it was nevertheless tasty. The pork croutons was a creative inclusion, it certainly did add flavor and some chewyness to this dish. There were button mushrooms scattered all over which added more texture to the dish. Overall, a good dish.

Paneer Burger, 14.90 ringgit This was simply because we both loveeee paneer – cottage cheese and paneer served this way, in a burger? We just had to give it a go, too curious to say no, lol. It was pretty good. The burger buns itself was crispy and a lil sweet, which complimented the paneer itself, which basically tasted as paneer usually would. Good thing that their paneer patty was not too thin or else we would not have been able to taste much. Here, it was just right. I liked this dish very much. I’d order it again too.

Oyakodon Ricebowl, 18 ringgit Between the rice bowl and the noodles, I was in love with this particular rice bowl. I am a fan of caramelized onion and this dish came with it, in a generous portion. It was da bomb. The egg resembled a plain omelette – fluffy and buttery. Underneath the bed of egg, there was a chicken fillet and sticky, gooey Japanese rice. Usually I like my rice bowls with plenty of gravy which was not the case here – but it totally worked. I loved it.

Both dishes ordered were recommended, crowd favorites. The Cordon Bleu was well plated, I liked how it was presented. Tasted good too. The dish consisted of 5 pieces of chicken that was wrapped in cheese. Then, once breaded the ones here are pan fried and then tossed in the oven. I dig the texture, crispy on the outside, chewy and dense on the inside, flavorful too. The chicken was served on a bed of salad, some mushroom, tomatoes, salsa, greens. A tasty dish indeed.

Ooooo, this pastry was yummy. That garlic spread + cream cheese sauce was gooooooood. I really wouldn’t mind having the sauce alone in a jar, as dessert, lol. The combination was da bomb. The flavors were evident but it was unique here because it was toned down by some sweetness. Not too sweet as you’d still be able to taste the garlic and cheese. Texture wise, it was more of a creamy, liquiddy custard. Overall, it was very nice
