Come and try out Thong Kee Cafe which located deep in heart of Pandan Indah serving freshly roasted coffee every morning accompaniment with a freshly baked croissant or toasted bread melted with their homemade butter and kaya which tasted delicious.
Though the menu is a bit more creative compared to the last place, they still need to nail the cooking and the combination of flavours but (sadly) the food has not changed my perception of the taste, so I doubt I'll be returning to try more. Only saving grace is at least prices seem to be a fraction lower than what Question Mark Cafe used to charge. Just two dishes (and two coffees) later, I can't get past the fact that it's the same kitchen team running the show...albeit with a different name. I just don't have enough faith in their cooking nor their coffees. It goes without saying that some things still need fixing at Kofix! :(
Though the grilled chicken chop (and black pepper sauce) is satisfactory in taste, the food just screams ordinary, unimaginative, run-of-the-mill! >_< The chicken chop with black pepper sauce tastes like something I can get out of a good western stall in a coffee shop...for less. And the pastas look like something I can replicate at home to a fair degree of success too.
Of all the mock meat dishes, I enjoyed the recommended (aka with a thumbs up on the menu) Butter (Vegetarian) Fish @ RM12.70 the most. They managed to get the batter on the mock fish light and crispy with the butter sauce slightly sweet and tangy.
My Personal Opinion I like simple buns like these, not elaborate ones with too much cream or sugar, so it's a super convenient place for me to get my hands on some baked goods and sandwiches for a light breakfast as there's no other bakery option here really.
My Personal Opinion Depending on what you order, you may come away with a fairly satisfying meal here with prices that are within the affordable range. I think the rice sets and dark sauce noodles are the more successful dishes here. It's just another option for our family dinners when I don't cook...and when we don't feel like eating at hawker stalls.
