Overall I have enjoyed the new menu at Joyden Treasure. The refreshed menu has definitely given their customers and me more reasons to visit again.
Joyden Treasures offers some of the best Chinese cuisine in Singapore, serving a wide variety of dishes that are suitable for family gatherings, business meetings, catching up with friends and colleagues.
Overall, it was an interesting and sumptuous Chinese New Year meal. We are glad that Pomelo Pith take centre stage in this year celebration in Joyden Concepts. Kudos to the team at Joyden Concepts to keep inventing these delicious dishes.
We had visited A-One Claypot House previously (you can read about out visits here and here to see the other dishes we had tried). We are happy that with A-One Claypot House Takeaway & Delivery, we can now also enjoy its reasonably priced simple comfort food at home.
We stumbled upon Ji Xian at Wave Mall while looking for some lunch. Me, being a dim sum guy and all, decided to give it a go.
It seems that the kopitiam that Director of Porridge sits in has many other stalls selling delicious breakfast food, so I would definitely be back for breakfast, or the century egg porridge from Director of Porridge, after a morning run someday!
This stall is worth the try if you happen to be here and is looking for a filling lunch.
Really flavourful and hearty textural porridge, made from I think a good and flavourful broth, with the fragrance uplifted by the egg and the fried shallots. The minced meat was flavourful as well, the liver cooked just nice and the meatballs bouncy โ everything tasted fresh to boot. The whole piece of youtiao was interesting but was neither crispy nor airy. Overall good though.
It is a good place to head to for seafood with the family โ there is something for everyone, from the very young to the not so long, from the traditionalists to the hip and trendy.
