If you want a cooked breakfast with pork in KL, then Sausage KL is a decent option. You might want to take a taxi rather than drive, as getting your parking ticket validated and paid, then getting out of the car park is a pain!
♥Verdict: If you enjoy homemade sausages with no preservatives, no chemicals, less fillers and more meat, Sausage KL is well worth check out place for you. They also have blood pudding/black pudding, a British delicacy of sausage made from pig’s blood which is not really commonly available in KL.

I had my salmon gravlax bagel cold. The bagel was chock full of ingredients; featuring cucumber slices on one side and salmon gravlax on the other, a generous cream cheese spread, and capers to add a salty/tangy dimension. The bagel had a good texture as well. For small eaters, I think this is good enough as a light brunch/lunch meal.
Botanica Deli at The Verticals, Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur now serves weekday dinner! Nothing about rice bowl, salad, soup, steak or spaghetti, but huge, hearty burgers that will make your dinner time merrier with some bur-gembira moments!
Peanut Butter & Banana Toast, 10.50 ringgit. Man, this is my favourite peanut butter fix. Do you see the thickness of it? The peanut better? The bananas? Ooooo man! Trust me, this would totally do it for you if you’re like me and in need for a fix. They sure are generous in their filling. You would really get a generous amount of peanut butter and by generous – I mean loads of it. Then there are the banana slices. Loveeeee it! It totally fills you up. I almost always only manage to gobble up half of it and the other half is packed and taken back home to eat later. Eating the whole thing up would just fill u up to a point that you cannot move? That is how generous they are with their fillings. Loooovvveee it!
All meals are prepared fresh daily and immediately chilled before delivered to you. Why do they do that? The chilling process takes place immediately after cooking, preserving the integrity of the dish. Meals simply travel better and more safely than “ready to eat” fare. They trust you will taste the difference.
Reasons to visit: A comprehensive selection of premium rum and creative, fun cocktails enjoyed in an atmosphere that feels like the Caribbean and is guided by friendly, knowledgeable employees. The food is also outstanding and worth a visit even if you’re not a drinker.
Beef Mushroom Pie at Dave Deli, Midvalley Mall at MYR 11.55 nett after 30% discount for weekday lunch. The fillings of the beef pie is very tasty and I kept half for later. There is a wedge of sweet potatoes among the wedges of carrots. I wish that they give me more wedges of sweet potatoes.
I ordered fish and chips again at Dave's Deli, Midvalley Mall at MYR 14.55 nett after 30% discount. To me, this is the most affordable acceptable fish and chips in town.
We went for lunch at Dave's Deli, Midvalley Mall again to take advantage of the 30% off promotion.
My personal favorite was the Gambas Al Ajillo (RM47), with incredibly large and fresh tiger prawns, sauteed in garlic, olive oil and chilli. Loved dipping the bread into the garlicky oil - so delicious!
Highlights are: Vieiras a la Parrilla (RM35) – scallops lightly oiled and topped with diced red pepper and sweet papaya
Exciting things are happening at Pavilion and the brand spanking new refurbishments of a KL legend, La Bodega, is one of them. An industry oldie, La Bodega, first opened its doors to a crowd hungry for Spanish food and beverage in Bangsar over 18 years ago. Now, though, and keeping up with the times, a sister outlet in Pavilion has had a facelift giving it a contemporary look, while maintaining the fun and friendly service that La Bodega is known for. The Yum List joined the reopening celebrations, which just so happened to coincide with the Spanish national day, and found a new love for an old fave.
Reasons to visit La Tasca Del Mercat: a pleasant spot for breakfast in Mont Kiara; Rich loves the Cubanito and Catalan Breakfast, my top pick is the Shakshuka and hubby loved the Eggs Benedict; pick up your favourite items from the deli before you go.

Very reasonable price considering the location and ambience of this restaurant. A good choice for occasions that requires a cosy and finer environs.
Reasons to visit: the food, atmosphere and service are impeccable; the selection of choices gives you a sampling of many different authentic Italian dishes; the porchetta; free-flow brunch – yes please!
My evening at Neroteca was not only filled with good food and great company, but also a splendid showcase of Italian Chef Mirko's specially crafted new menu. I was treated to some of their best-selling dishes, mostly in pork-licious proportions, with plenty of chit-chatter in between.
Reasons to visit Frediani’s Market and Deli: hearty menu of Anglo-Italian comfort food; everything made from scratch; the team does meat very well – look forward to more steaks shortly; lots of pork on the menu.
The servings are quire huge although the slightly pricy as all ingredients used is quite fresh. Conclusion, what a sinful dinning experience but wonderful dishes and friendly waiters. Rating: 9 /10
Stew Lamb with carrots at MYR 28.90+ (10% service charge = MYR 31.80 nett). The lamb shank is cut into 5 pieces and there is a lot of mashed potato so I kept 3 pieces of the lamb meat and half the mashed potato for lunch the next day. This price is lower than the price of the lamb shank here so it is value for money. Warm water is provided foc so all 4 of us did not order any drink.
Mixed Sausage Platter where you get to choose 4 sausage of your choice accompanied by potato salad or mashed potatoes and sauerkraut grilled sausages are served with onion sauce. This is a must order because sausages is the highlight! You will get to try different kind of sausages and yes, every single of them tasted very different. You may want to ask the waiter/waitress if you wish to know the name of all the sausages before you eat, which we did not do. So at the end we only know the thin and long one is nice, but we don’t know what sausage is that.
Basically a deli outlets remind me of the butcher shop at Italy. You got to enjoy the unusual cold cuts and cheese delicatessens. Simone and his staffs were promoting luretta as we passed by. Good in recommendation too. Delicious baked lasagna that we finish that in 5 mins. Such a twist when we order their fresh handmade Italian pork sausage. Juicy tender pork meat with simple seasoning in it, doesn't look like a sausage at all. The pizza is as a snack, the basic cheese and tomato pizza. Recommend luretta 👍
Luretta D.O.P.
Reasons to visit: While there are no bad choices on the menu, the Cold Cuts Platter is sensational, and the Porchetta, Sausage, Basil Pesto Pasta, Piadina Sandwiches and Chocolate Salami are divine. Don’t leave without a take home pack of ingredients, nibbles or wine.
I ordered fish and chips at MYR 19.90+ (MYR 21.89 nett) and packed up one piece of fish and 70% of the fries for dinner. It tastes just as good as the fish and chips at the closed-down outlet in Midvalley Mall.
Beef rissole Grilled minced beef patty with a whole lotta sides because there ain't enough meat to satisfy one. Of course, it's great that you get a very healthy platter with all that greens. The mushroom gravy isn't shabby either with the patty. A little more exciting that the chicken chop.
After reading NuxV's post (2016) about Dave's Deli having a weekday promotion of 30% off on all main meals for dined in customers, I wanted to go for this promotion but never did have a chance until recently when I had to go to One Utama for work so I went for this promotion.
Verdict: I like the ambience and wide variety of products and fresh produces offered by Oliver Gourmet which made grocery shopping and enjoyable experience. The cook-on-demand certainly bring convenience to those who doesn’t cook at home but as a working mother like myself, I’m glad that I can take-away the cooked food too whenever the lazy bugs bite 😛
