We like the variety and the wacky setup. Would be back for more!
Overall, there is nothing too special about Tian Wang, other than them opening till 3am which is a plus point for late owls.
This new Chinese dessert cafe brings vibes to the next level with its neon lights and mahjong tile wallpaper. They also have popular Mandopop hits playing in the background.
Overall, it was an enjoyable 1-hour session and it helps me to understand more about the King of Fruits!!

La Vie is a nice enough place to head to for dessert or afternoon tea if you’re in the area, but loses out a bit to more established players like Pantler and Luna with their wider selections and heartier cakes. Price wise, La Vie is definitely on a comparative level to the bigger names.
I’d absolutely love to come back and cosy up with a good book along with a (hopefully improved) La Vie en Rose and Watermelon Strawberry cake as I count down the days to the commencement of the Australia travel bubble to get my fix from Black Star Pastry.
The cake itself was a bit heavier, but the cream in the tie guan yin fujiro had a really nice and subtle tea flavour and fragrance, and was really light, fluffy and balanced. Plus it looked really pretty and instagrammable as well.
I really liked the vibes of Sweets Craftsman and I’m keen to try the other pastries and bakes they have.
Those Boba Croissants are available at every Brotherbird outlet, so you can head down to Bedok, Bugis or Lavender to get your paws on these alluring pastries.
Tucela Gelato is an oasis for those seeking a nice comfortable cafe in the somewhat unglamorous heartland neighborhood of St Georges’ Estate. The prices are reasonable, and the service is friendly and attentive. Whether you are looking for a hot cappuccino, a nice cup of infused tea or delicious gelato with waffle, this cozy cafe at St. George’s Road is probably the best choice in the neighbourhood.
The UTW (“Under Ten Words”): Playful visual gimmicks belie the quality and passionate creativity involved.
The space is pleasant and cosy and the cafe has an array of creative and beautiful desserts. Some of its desserts are not just very pretty but are quite delicious too.
This cosy Gelato shop offers a rather wide selection of flavours, with some unique ones if you’re game for something unconventional. Think Red Dragonfruit Yoghurt, and Wild Berries Graham Cracker. So drop by if you’re in the area and looking for some ice cream therapy.

Despite Wimbly Lu being a chocolate café, my personal favorite would be the Lemon Meringue Pie ($7).
It is a very pleasant and cosy dessert place. The prices are reasonable and their waffles remain one of our all time favourites.
Muted. a perfect spot for night Gelato if you are looking for one.
