Here's the location.
The Air Batu Campur (RM 3.00) is the standard Ais Kacang with shaved ice and not particularly sweet. White Lady (RM 3.80) on the other hand, is more refreshing with a lemon taste and has some fruits in the drinks.
My girl wanted the tiramisu mille crepe (RM9.00)…and yes, it was very good, as good as I could remember it to be
I couldn’t resist asking for their crème brûlée tart (RM6.90)…to try though but at the end of the day, I think I would prefer that the regular way, not in a tart.
Knowing how much she loves sotong (squid), I asked for their crispy squid ring (RM13.50)…which we all enjoyed even though the batter was quite different from the usual, hence its pale colour.
Of course, I simply had to drop by and get myself a slice(RM11.21)…and yes, it was so good…but of course, at that price, I do not think I will be going back there for more all that soon. Perhaps I shall wait till my birthday and I can go and order one whole cake to indulge to my heart’s content.
I also had their red rubies, topped with the same coconut ice cream…instead of santan and yes, it was good – a whole lot nicer than the disastrous one that I had at that Thai franchise place in Miri.

Their chai kueh comes in a pack of 5…selling for RM5.00 each so that means they are a ringgit each. Yes, they were still as good as before but the ones I stumbled upon recently with the hint of hay bee (udang kering/dried prawns) in the filling were much nicer even though they did not look as good and besides, they were only RM4.50 for a pack of 5, cheaper by 10 sen each.
Hokkien bak changs big (RM4.80) There were a few chunks of meat inside, shitake mushroom and a salted egg yolk…and if you’re lucky, you may stumble upon a slice of pork belly with the yummy layers of fat. Slurpsss!!!
Quite recently, they started making their own ang koo kueh (red tortoise cake) and they had them in red or yellow/orange…selling at RM1.00 each. That day, they only had the red ones left…but I was fine with red and wasted no time in grabbing some to take home for afternoon tea.

We tried the ABC or air batu campur special (RM6.00)…that I ordered to share. It had cendol, red beans, cincau (black jelly)…and whatever else inside but no, it did not get us jumping with delight. I think if that is what one wants, the best place to go to in Kuching would be here. Word has it though that their branch at Satok has been taken over by someone else and the quality has gone down.
Golden Cheese Cake It was good, pretty much like all the rest…but it had a sprinkling of raisins at the bottom, not that this was anything to get excited about.
I saw that they had some cakes as well and I ordered a slice, their strawberry fromage (RM12.90)…which turned out to be quite nice and very much to everyone’s liking. What I did not know then was that fromage is French for cheese so I guess those were layers of cheese cake with strawberry mousse and jam sandwiched in between and the description did mention that there was something yogurt too – probably the layer on the outside. It was served with those edible little gold flakes – nice touch, don’t you think?
