Sheng Yi Fa Lor Mee stall is a stone throw away from Clementi Bus Interchange and besides the popular vegetarian stall in the same coffeeshop, they are known to serve a good bowl of local mee base on words of mouth.
Why I like Sheng Yi Fa's lor mee is because of its gravy. Unlike other stalls which is starchy and gooey, their version is more like a drinkable braising sauce, packet with depth and robustness.
Despite the misgiving about the soup (which was still tasty; just not as good compared to the other two i had before), it's still worth it as a satisfying meal for me!
Tua Keat Bak Kut Teh is located in a coffee shop near West Coast Plaza and within walking distance from West Coast Food Center. No doubt that its only a small stall in the coffee shop, I'm quite surprise by the number of dishes they offered on their menu.
The fish was tender and well marinated, although the fish slices were a bit salty. The soup was clear and tasty as well, with a savoury and meaty taste. Nice.
Overall, I found that the curry rice taste was a standard fare and nothing to shout about.
