The overall lunch experience was enjoyable, thanks to the attentive and friendly service staff. The lunch set, featuring delicious food, contributes to a pleasant dining experience. An added advantage is that the lunch set is also available on weekends, making it convenient for individuals, like myself, who are unable to partake in the set lunch promotion typically reserved for weekdays.

Food at Merci Marcel is distinctly French cuisine, with each of their 3 outlets having a slightly different menu. The kitchen serves consistently executed, good quality dishes that are tasty and uncomplicated, using fresh premium ingredients.

Most importantly, most of these Japanese-French inspired creations do not weigh you down with saturated richness. Exactly how I love my desserts. And the ones here at Henri Charpentier did not disappoint.
Overall, Henri Charpentier Tanjong Pagar is a place that has good desserts and coffee despite the move into the CBD. The ambience is still pleasant but we do miss their more beautiful premises at Dempsey.
