Overall, we enjoyed our meal here at Bumbu Bali, as we managed to satiate our craving for Balinese food. This space is definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a nice and comfortable spot for dinner in Puchong.
For snacks, we shared the fried chicken strips (RM17), served with garlic pepper sauce. This was mostly chicken skin but oh-so-addictive. The sauce was strong and garlicky.
I do not know much about Balinese food and so, all I will say is that the food here is good. I went online, was curious to see the restaurant reviews as well as how well rated it was and yea, the reviews and ratings speaks for itself. Food was goooood, delicious. The dish came with Rice + Spiced Squids + Grilled Fish + Grilled Prawns + a Satay Lilit ( chicken or beef) + Chicken Rendang + Sambal (sambal Matah and sambal Terasi) + Anchovies Crackers + Salad. It was worth every penny, that is all I have to say. Did I mention how satisfied I was – very.
Makan tengahari di Restoran Waroeng Penyet The Curve Damansara.Menu:1. Nasi putih2. Ayam penyet3. Ikan goreng4. Kangkung masak belacan5. Keropok warna6. Jus ...
Waroeng Penyet recently launched the Indomie Ayam Penyet @ RM12.90, which consists of crispy ayam penyet, fried tofu, tempeh and fresh local vegetables. Their ayam penyet is marinated with 9 types of Java spices and then deep fried. Taste wise, the ayam penyet had a spicy aroma in the chicken skin. It was meaty and tender, surprisingly paired well with the slightly heated Indomie noodles.
Lele Penyet/ Flattened Fried Catfish (RM7.90) Another recommended dish from Warong Penyet Penyets section. Deep fried to perfection, the fish is crispy outside with soft, fleshy fish filling. Again, the spicy sambal continued to whip up our appetite, we screamed for spiciness after every dipping but the spiciness was so good and addictive, too hard to resist. Served along with deep fried taufu and tempe.
For that price, the food is not bad at all. My lunch of $6 was the Ayam Bakar Caramel (Caramel Roasted Chicken) which comes with a nice sweet and sour black vinigerish sauce!
As for the taste? We absolutely loved it! The chicken was properly seasoned, and the cat fish deep fried to a crunchy state that goes really well with those tomato salsa/sambal concoction. Berbola tasted very similar to keropok lekor with body image problem, and even the bergedil was pretty decent (could be warmer though).
I’m super stoked with this place. I foresee lots of return visits!
Makanan sedap tapi service slow sangat.
Serius sedap aku suka tapi nasi macam tak cukup maklumlah bulan puasa. Walaupun nasi tak cukup tapi tetap kenyang sebab banyak side dishes lain.
I would say it was a unique experience dining the Indonesian meal and ulam with my bare hands today.
Desserts. Biscoff ni memang sedap sangat. Brownies coklat tu pun sedap
The choices at this restaurant seems to also focus on beef and cow innards (both dry version as well as berlado/chili or curry versions), likely not the cup of tea for everyone but I think it is still on bad.
What do We Like about Padangs on Wheels? -The lauk were all tasty -Nasi padang in air-conditioned and super comfortable dining environment, why not?
All in, we were pleased with our meal here, with a special acknowledgement to the excellent and attentive service, who anticipated our needs in advance. Besides Nasi Padang, POW also serves Western-style cakes and kueh-mueh – which makes for good afternoon treats.
OK i won't go deeper into each hidangan lah but this STANDING FISH cooked with salted eggs memang terbaik! honestly, i tak pernah rasa lagi masakan begini coz selalunya kita makan salted eggs with crab, prawn or squid right? but seriously, this crispy fried fish dah lah garing, isinya lembut malahan sos salted eggs itu tidak lah terlalu asin atau terlalu manis, it just perfect. pergh meleleh air liur terbayang rasanya. adoi!
A few weeks ago, we had blue skies and lovely weather in KL - perfect weather for a day out at Sunway Lagoon. For lunch, we decided to try Ayam Penyet Express located in the Blue Concourse area in Sunway Pyramid.
aku pilih set COMBO rm 16.90 ayam penyet + fried beefball + egg + nasi
Interestingly, the peanut sauce is sweet, some similarity with Satay sauce. It would have been much more appetizing if the sauce is a little bit spicy!
Well, I like this combination slightly better than what's offered at Sebok Cafe!
The Ayam Cabe Ijo had a roughly pounded green chilli sambal on steamed chicken breast. The chicken breast very well done - flavorful, tender and moist. The sambal is definitely not for the faint hearted - it was so spicy that the back of my head was sweating! Despite the spiciness, it was very tasty, fragrant and didn't have the raw flavor that usually comes with a pounded sambal.
No wonder lah restoran ni dapat rating tinggi. Puas hati dengan makanan dan service!
The chicken here was much better than the other. Curry was great too. If only rice and I had a better relationship.
IndoAsli is the place where you can indulge in a variety of tasty and authentic Indonesian food from the different regions of Indonesia!!!
If you are a big fan of the meat dishes, you will definitely love it too just like me. It was perfectly cooked to perfection, the textures were soft, juicy and flavorful.
If you love spicy food, you should definitely check out this place. There are 30 outlets in Malaysia now. Besides the sambal, the chicken was freshly cooked and tasty!

Sizzling Iberico Belly (MYR 28-150g) Naughty Nuri’s very own homemade chef specialty pork belly served on a 310°C hot plate with caramelized onion, capsicum and drizzled with Asian special homemade sauce. Foodies who always enjoy the melting-in-the-mouth of that porky gelatin layer should not give this a miss.
Hi! I am PAPA Iberico (RM 49) We started our meal with their Hi! I am PAPA Iberico. The delicious iberico ribs comes simply fresh with the fall of the bone texture. The meat is perfectly grilled and it brings you with the aromatic taste of it. I love the meat itself which is moist and juicy too.
Naughty Nuri's is well know for its mouthwatering pork ribs.
Overall, we were really happy that Wartek has opened so close to home – making Nasi Padang and Bebek more accessible than ever.
We won’t be back here. The food just felt very functional and not worth coming back for. We were also annoyed that absolutely no mention was made of the substitutions we got. I know you should never expect the food to look like the menu picture, but the server could have at least told us if something was going to be different than advertised. From the food to the ambience, Harum Manis just doesn’t stand out from any of the other dozens of places where you can get an ayam penyet.
Cuma harga agak high end.
Their ayam gepuk is the main draw and I had mine with 35 bird eye chillis. The chillis are pounded and mixed with oil and other aromatics before being spread on the ¼ chicken. They don’t use very spicy chillis – these are more flavorful than spicy. It’s a salty and umami rub that goes very well with rice. It burned my lips for an hour after though. I enjoyed the chicken and their delicious fried cabbage. The latter had crispy edges and a distinct taste of char that I love!
For first timers, the Gulai Itik Salai (RM7) is highly recommended. A portion comes with 2-3 pieces of duck which should be more than sufficient to enjoy with rice. The duck meat is tender and juicy with a sweet and smoky flavor. It was delicious and tasted unique in a way that I have never had duck that tasted like this before. Because, you know, like duck for me has always been roasted the Chinese way.
Today's meal is all "Beef" related including Beef innards and Beef skin "keropok", everything is new to the taste bud today including the "Village" Coffee (Kampong Kopi) which is really thick but not bad at all.
