If you want something different from the usual fast food or hawker food and yet wallet friendly, OmoOmo is a good option. Its Korean-Japanese fusion dishes are palatable and affordable. The OmoOmo Takeaway Bento is a good value deal.
Clearly, this restaurant is a popular lunch destination.
The food was well prepared and nice enough but there was no innovative fusion which resulted in something new and exciting.
We enjoyed our visit to The Parlour Mirage, and will return for more! Love the relaxing ambience, friendly service, delicious food, and interesting range of craft beers. Do pay them a visit!
Overall, the Japanese x Mediterranean cuisine at The Parlour Mirage is geared as a perfect companion for the craft beers.
Recommended by Eatbook.sg, from those behind King of Fried Rice. The Mentai Pork Cutlet was slightly oily, but came with a generous offering of rich and umami torched mentaiko sauce.
If you are a fan of Lester Li’s King of Fried Rice, you need to check out their new brand – MentaiKing. No prizes for guessing that this new outlet focuses on Mentaiko dishes.
Overall, for the price of SGD 168 for 2 people, it is quite a value for money especially when it comes with a huge bottle of sake. The sake was very smooth and easy to drink while enjoying the meal. The dishes were well thought out with some interesting ingredients used and tasted good. The only disappointing factor for me was the tuna as I do have high standards for my tuna sushi after being spoilt in Japan

うなばら Unabara Grilled Fish is a new casual dining restaurant in Leisure Park Kallang. It specializes in the traditional Grilled Fish Teishoku and is a pleasant place to enjoy a balanced and satisfying meal.
Love the relaxing ambience, friendly service, delicious food, and interesting range of craft beers. Do pay them a visit!
Overall, it was a fun tasting and I never thought I could have yakitori with hummus, or deep fried mantou with pesto.
Honestly, unlikely for me. Not that it is a bad meal, but I was not impressed by any of the courses. While the lunch Omakase price is fairly competitive, I very much prefer what I had at Yuta or Sushi Yujo for a similar price range.
The lamb rack is fantastic too, marinated in a mint sauce to undercut the fats.
The ambience of the restaurant is more suited for night dining than day, and that is their main challenge especially when there are many cafe options in the vicinity.
All in all, it was a pleasant experience dining at Issho. We came here without expectations but we left feeling satisfied.
主打和风洋食在日本餐馆相当扑鼻,由日本厨师推出迎合日本人口味的西洋料理。
However, KACYO Singapore’s newest venture, GOHAN CAFE by KACYO could be the reason to pop by this relatively quiet mall. I dislike eating in an extremely noisy and packed restaurant, so if you’re like me, the cosy and quiet environment will suit you well.
Puri-Puri is famous for their Japanese rice bowls popular with the office lunch crowd.
Instead of plain Japanese rice, the chef has seasoned the rice with dashi for a more vibrant taste complementing the various ingredients of the rice bowl lunch sets.
Other than the value for money Omakase set, the main differentiating trait at Southpaw from other Japanese restaurants is the personalised and homely service by owner Roy and his tight crew. Southpaw is a pleasant surprise.
Not all of it is going to blow your mind, but congregate with your besties at this fuss-free joint and it will be pretty much a guaranteed good time.
Their bestsellers include the Wagyu Beef Don and Mentaiko Salmon Don which we tried.
Though the overall taste was far from 'Oishi' but the stall is only less than a month old, they still need time to fine-tune as well as to make the improvement. I would just give it another go but not too soon.
Overall, the donburi here is good and will not burn a hole in your pocket. Definitely a place to satisfy my frequent donburi fix.
