The server grilling our meats got a nice char on those chops which were pretty good.
The restaurant offers premium lab at affordable pricings and their meat is sourced from Australia and New Zealand.
So lamb lovers, listen carefully, here is a new hideout to ease your craving for lamb!
The creamy tsukemen broth had a flavour akin to fermented bean (豆瓣酱) or miso. That was actually not bad.
I liked the level of authenticity in its taste, which is robust and slightly heavier to the palate as well.
I had high expectations for Menya Sakura given the profile of its Head Chef. However, I found the ramen to be rather pedestrian and would probably not make a special trip down to have it again, though it certainly qualifies as one of the better dining options along Boat Quay.
The dining ambience is fine casual, while the set meals offer good value.
Tamashii Restaurant is a great place to enjoy the luxurious lunch set.
Alex isn’t a beef person and generally isn’t keen to join me whenever I am craving for steak. However, he did remember patronizing a yakinik...
Overall, Aburiya delivers a wonderful yakiniku experience. The price is very reasonable and the wagyu cuts are excellent. We’ll return to try the rest of their menu. Kanpai!! Cheers!!
Nevertheless it's still a pretty good value, in our opinion, and totally worth a return visit.
Katanashi is a Japanese tapas bar along Boat Quay that offers reasonably priced set lunch meals on weekdays, catering mostly to working professionals whose offices are nearby.
Those who are keen to try other options can look forward to Rouleau-Don, Chicken Teritama-Don, Katsu Curry-Don and Maguro Salmon-Don (S$12).

Yakitori Yatagarasu is worth a repeat visit for a casual dinner.
It arrived with an additional ladle of curry and a generous sprinkling of pickles. In terms of taste, it was decent but nothing worth shouting about, although we have to give the chef props for his creativeness.

we had a great lunch, afterwards Tolmas bought coffee at paris baguette.
It was good and cheap at only S$9.80 (US$7.10), but what perhaps got me even more excited was the impressively low-priced beer at only S$4.50 (US$3.30). Score!
Over at Gake, European cooking techniques and local flavours are infused into Japanese cuisine.
Gake is the brainchild of Chef Angus Chow, previously from Les Amis and Buruto offering diners a European Japanese fusion experience.
If you are a sake lover, you would be thrilled to know that there is the massive selection of QUALITY sake available here.
The char shiu for the Do.Miso is of the belly and shoulder parts. Both equally tender and not too fatty. While we were there, we could hear other patron busy slurping his bowl of ramen. That's a good sign at any ramen shop!
Ramen Gallery Takumen, which is located at Raffles Place, has limited seating and was expectedly packed with businessmen on a weekday afternoon.
The only regret? I didn’t get to try it again until now.
