Soft Tofu Stew (RM 17) here is one of the best we have tried so far in Penang. The taste of the stew packs was immensely rich yet soothing at the same time, though it does not look anything extraordinary from its appearance. It has a slight heat component, a balance of sweet and salty, a tad of aromatic tofu and egg scent, along with some tender pork which we added for another RM 3. This soft tofu stew definitely will make an excellent choice during a rainy afternoon or evening.
The star dish of the day was the Fried Chicken... available in both original flavor and Spicy sauce. Both were good in its own way but the original stood out. The outer layer was crisp and addictive while the inner meat was reasonably seasoned with plump, tender meat. The rest were alright but certainly did not disappoint.
We must concur that Tankoya serves some of the best cuts of the meat... none of the meat disappoint. Though most meats were seasoned, diners can opt to add in the Japanese-styled barbecue sauce... which offers another different type of flavor
Service here is a little bit slow but everyone of them here is really friendly.
我觉得这里的环境比较好,这里除了是一家装潢不错的韩式餐厅,空气也较流通,不会吃得满头大汗,而且老板娘也是韩国人呢!
