Unlike the street art in Penang, the version in kluang was concentrated along this one, long street. Some are just boring wall paintings although there are those with 3D elements for that more interesting photo taking.
After cleaning up the backlane and upgrading the infrastructure, volunteers and artists were given free rein to decorate the rear walls of the shop houses with fun art. While probably not to the level of acclaim given to some of the street murals in George Town, it is still an interesting walk along the lane to look at the creativity of some of the art.
Ada lebih kurang 3 blok bangunan di laluan belakang kedai 2 tingkat. Dinding belakang kedai tersebut dipenuhi oleh lukisan lukisan menarik.
We were up in Ipoh for some cycling and on the second afternoon went riding along the Kinta River. To kick of the ride we went on a short loop at Ipoh Mrual Street. This is a back-alley that runs parallel to Jalan Masjid; between Jalan Laxamana & Jalan Datuk Onn Jaafar. A good landmark will be the beautifully unique Masjid Panglima Kinta, where there are ample parking.
What’s a charming little Malaysian city without street art? Following in the footsteps of Penang and Melaka, Ipoh is similarly decorated with colourful scenes on the sides of random buildings, sprucing up otherwise dull and crumbling walls.
The safari of Klang, a really beautiful and interesting wall mural in a backlane.
The multi-coloured arches of the pre-war colonial shop-houses are attractive too! So don't go to Klang for it's renown Bak Kut Teh, come here and appreciate the art too.
怡保二奶巷 (The Concubine Lane a.k.a. Lorong Panglima) 是每个人来到怡保必去的旅游景点之一
要不是我们吃得非常饱, 我肯定会来光顾他们家的, 只是为了他们家的装潢斗值回票价了~
With the surge in local tourism after lock-downs arising from the Covid-19 pandemic, local towns have been spruced themselves up to attract the tourists. Some, colorful murals have popped up at the KKB, at the older part of town still looking colonial with it's few streets of colonial shop-houses.
The art scene in Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley is getting more interesting with this new Art Street @ Campbell right in the older commercial heart of the city. These murals were probably painted in the past two months.
Love this street more than concubine lane, with less crowd, less commercial and more art.
Ipoh, my beloved hometown, is usually known for its heritage and good food. And maybe pretty girls - that's just about it. But now, there's a new attraction in town, called the "Art of Oldtown", wh...
