The Habitat is one of the best eco-tourism attractions in Penang. It features one of the most immersive and authentic nature experiences that take you through a pre-historic rainforest on Penang Hill that’s over 130-million years old. In comparison, the Amazon Rainforest is only 55-million years old. This basically means this forest has one of the most diverse tropical ecosystems in the world. And at The Habitat, you get to experience it in leisure.

Unless you want to be fleeced by boat operators, a 90-minute uphill hike is the only other way to get to Pantai Kerachut or better known to tourists as Turtle Beach. You must start at Penang National Park, which is already at the extreme north-west edge of the island. Take a Grab, or the Rapid Penang bus 101 to the end of the line, which will be the park.
I never know Penang has its own National Park and i'm glad that i have the opportunities to visit this new place. Still remember the news earlier about the naked ...
But as we went further into the jungle the trail became a bit trickier. The tracks were steep and slippery with lots of roots and tree trunks. And most of the journey, ...
One of Penang’s famous attractions, Entopia Butterfly Farm has announced its closure as of 1st June 2021.
Entopia is the new name for the Penang Butterfly Farm, and it has a bit more than just butterflies and moths these days. It’s split into an ‘outdoor’ section, Natureland, and an indoor learning zone called Cocoon. Natureland starts with a ‘cave’ with snakes, scorpions, and spiders, which is a bold move and may have driven off a few visitors! I didn’t realise at the time, but it seems you’re allowed to handle the scorpions if you’re a masochist.
One of the things to do when you travel to Penang is to visit Entopia by Penang Butterfly Farm! Entopia by Penang Butterfly Farm is a sanctuary for butterflies and insects. It is located at Teluk Bahang, which is approximately 45-minute drive away from George Town, Penang. So come visit Entopia when you travel to Penang!
Today, the garden has over 10,000 species of plants. The garden is divided into 12 sections, each featuring different types of plants and terrains. If you’re feeling adventurous, there are also multiple jungle tracks within the garden. The entire park has nicely paved trails, interesting bridges and seating areas.
Beach in Penang has always been awesome, Bayview Beach Resort being next to the beach, it is really nice that i can just walk over to the beach.
The sheets was clean and the bed is super comfortable to sleep, however I find the pillow is little harder for me as I used to sleep on a soft pillow. The room was super clean and spacious.
Miami Beach is a very casual beach. There are no loungers, showers, and no area along the shore that is “restricted for patrons of X hotel only.” Unlike some other beaches on the island, the water is not “policed” either. You will always be able to swim freely, without some lifeguard telling you you’re too far out, or not letting you in the water at all because the conditions are too dangerous. If you just want to beach it up and not be harassed by anyone about where you’re allowed to sunbathe or swim, come here.
放松身心之后, 接下来我们会去附近的水坝走走看看, 喜欢拍照的你绝对不能错过这个水坝景点!
It’s very rewarding to have a beach with toilets waiting at the end of a sweaty hike. Turtle Beach has very pleasant sand and a quiet atmosphere that is better suited to sunbathers rather than swimmers. The serious drawback of this place is the water – you should always expect the red flag up if you visit. It’s hard to come here and resist taking a dip no matter how dangerous it supposedly is. If you must, do it as soon as you arrive before the guards come and talk to you. Make sure to get your fill and, oh yeah, be prepared for any jellyfish stings if you insist on swimming.
Hiking is nice and calming, if you wish to see the sunrise, you will need to start hike early in the morning. Do remember to bring a torch light if you hike up early in the morning or late in the evening is there is no street lamp along this route and it will get really dark when the sun set. Along the route there is farm of people growing vegetables so you might bump into some farmers as they are out watering, fertilizing or harvesting their crops.
