Each bath tub is only comfortable for 1 person to soak his whole body in it. It becomes crowded for 2 and nearly impossible for 3. There are 2 valves connected to each tub to control the temperatre of the water. The green valves control cold water and the red controls hot water from the natural hot spring. Here comes the question, how long do you have to wait for the bath tub to be filled with warm water? The answer is 2 hours. Yes, you need to wait for at least 2 hours to have a tub filled with warm water and the wait gets longer for warmer water.

With its peak soaring up to 4095.2 meters above sea level, Mount Kinabalu is the most iconic representation of Sabah, and definitely the renowned mountain across the country. While it is considered as challenging, the ever popular Mount Kinabalu is one of the very conquerable peaks in the world.
There are so many things to do and attractions at Kota Kinabalu! Let’s find out what are the things to do right here in Kota Kinabalu! We thoroughly enjoyed the weekend stay there!
A visit to the Kundasang War Memorial fits nicely with a Kundasang day trip. I don’t think it’s a must-see like Sosodikon Hill, though. The gardens and the state of the toilets could be a lot better. Even if you find the war stuff too depressing, the view of Mount Kinabalu from the terrace could be worth it if you want a convenient viewing spot close to town.

Eight minutes across 400 meters (from Canopy Walkway) and you would find yourself at Kipungit Recreation Area; you could definitely make out the therapeutic sound of water in the not too far distance.

Usually deserted on a weekday, while you can swim with the locals on the weekends. Crowded during Malaysian school holidays.
Since we have a long holiday in KK this time, we decided to go glamping since none of us went before in our entire life. Hence, we booked ourselves into the most reasonably priced glamping retreat in Kota Belud.
Verdict You have to come lar, at least try it once. It is really a super duper cool experience. My recommendations are to stay a night here and another night probably camp at Tegudon for stargazing experience. Alternatively, is to camp at Tembara to enjoy another beautiful sunset. Ish… banyak pulak option, macam nil ah… make sure you stay at least 5 days in Kota Kinabalu (outskirt included). Supaya tidak menyesal kemudian hari.
Kinabalu National Park, home to the magnificent Mount Kinabalu, is also Malaysia’s first World Heritage Site. While the main attraction of Kinabalu Park is, of course, the climb up to Mount Kinabalu, the park also offers many hiking trails by the base of the mountain.

Tun Sakaran Marine Park comprises of 8 islands, their surrounding reefs, and sea…. It is said that the islands are formed from quaternary pyroclastic material, which had been ejected during explosive volcanic activity, a long long time ago… And from that, Bodgaya island, Boheydulang island, Tetagan island, Selakan island, Sebangkat island, Maiga island, Sibuan island and Mantabuan island were formed….
In Semporna, there are 3 things you MUST do which are Sipadan is the snorkeling and diving paradise, Mataking island is the perfect place to stay and the Boheydulang Island at Tun Sakaran Marine Park is the island you need to climb their peak for this amazing view. The price is RM320/pax for 2 dives and for non divers would be RM160/pax. It is inclusive of equipment, boat transfer and lunch.
Bukit Kopungit Hiking Trail is one of Kota Kinabalu hiking trails that are very easy to explore. It is also a favorite spot for airplane watchers to see closeup of planes taking off from Kota Kinabalu International Airport, just by the side of the hill. Other than that, multiple tunnels believed to be dug by Japanese soldiers during World War II were discovered around the area. Here is the guide to find them!

Climbing Mt. Trus Madi can be done in 2 to 4 days, depends on the trail you pick. There are three summit trails that lead to the highest peak of Mt. Trus Madi, i.e.: Kaingaran Trail in Tambunan Mannan Trail in Keningau Mastan Trail in Sook
The last 300m to the summit was super duper muddy! But it was also because it was raining the day before. The views were actually nicer at the viewing tower where it was higher than the summit. But apparently the official board of Mt Trusmadi was fixed here first and hence they continued to use this as the summit.
There are quite a few hiking trails in the park, which are short but quite nice. The signs are not quite clear, so it is better to download hiking trail map app. We hike the tupai and burung trail..
Sunset view at Kinabalu Park observation deck.
Located right beside the town center of Tamparuli, Bukit Perahu (also known as St Veronica’s Hill due to the church activities at the area) is a popular spot for the nearby residents to do a little hiking activities.
Tawai Forest Reserve is one of the forests located in Tongod, the heart of Sabah, where you’ll find a 95 meters tall Tawai Waterfall! It is known as the second tallest waterfall in Sabah. Wonder which is the tallest in Sabah then? Well, that’s gonna be one of the waterfalls on Borneo’s tallest mountain, Mount Kinabalu, but according to the guide, it does not look as epic as Tawai Waterfall due to its low volume of water.
