My boy, who is a big scallop fan, loved the seared scallops (he had two!) - plump and juicy, served with butter corn miso foam with bottarga and the crispiest spinach tempura. So delicious! The scallops were sweet tasting and fresh, making them perfect for a carpaccio dish. The thinly sliced raw scallops were topped with orange segments, wild rocket and yuzu dressing.
Mango to Tango is an amazing mix of Silver Tequila, Yellow Chartreuse, Mango, Honey, Fresh Lime Juice and Fresh Egg White. It's one of their MARINI’S SIGNATURE COCKTAILS and it tastes pretty good. Besides that, since its Ladies' night on Wednesday. We were served with free cocktails. Hooray!!/
Taste:9/10(Delicious. Ordered their the new dawn cocktail which is mixture of rum and orange juice. Taste is good and refreshing).

Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur Chinatown is hosting the “Scotnatown” this November at Jann, the modern cocktail bar. The celebration of this Scottish culture consists of a myriad of exciting events to honor its rich culture. In line with that, the bar that boasts panoramic views of Kuala Lumpur’s skyline has also invited The Gordon School of Dance with Piper Norman Fiddes to showcase the country’s music and dance here at Chinatown.
Inspired from Jalan Hang Lekir’s Oloiya, the local meat jerky artisan who made his start selling orange juice. In this cocktail, the orange liqueur from the Grand Marnier resembles the original juice business while that piece of bah kwa take after the current meat jerky business. The aroma of the cocktail complemented well with the smokiness burnt bah kwa.
Reasons to embark on A Journey of Six Senses with Jann’s bottled cocktails: excellent value for money; do-it-yourself drinks; fun variety and an adventure to explore all corners of your palate.
Well, I can’t remember the last time I did a nightlife tip! It’ll take me a while to remember how to write these. Very rare in the first place, then fatherhood really wrecked my nights out… anyway I had the pleasure of visiting The Attic, a bar near the Ghost Lane.
Reasons to visit The Attic Bar: Authentic pork-free Italian food presented by DOP Concept in tandem with speciality cocktails. The Negronis, the pesto and the tiramisu were particularly good. Go at sunset to catch great views of the city at twilight and watch the sun drop behind the roofscape of Chinatown.
Spiedini Skewered meats of juicy chicken legs and tender lamb for carnivore lovers.
Taste:8/10(Good. Special mention to their crispy bread as it is very good. The appetizer and pasta are both creamy and tasty. The steak combination were already good but slightly hard. Just wondering of why the recommendation of the steak to be prepared as medium when it should be best on medium rare)
Reasons to visit: Ambience, Grandiose Setting, Elegance, Spectacular Views, 180o Skyline, Exemplary Meat, Quality Ingredients, Seasonal Dishes, , Fine Dining, Kitchen Variety, Steak.
East Asian restobar Shhhbuuuhleee on the top floor of REXKL, is all about small sharing plates, done by the same guys who started Chocha in Petaling Street, KL. After hearing so much about Chef Mui Kai Quan’s prowess in the kitchen, I finally managed to try his food.
The food menu is neither expansive nor lacking when it comes to variety. Upon reflection, I personally feel that it’s focused with a tight, well-thought flow to it. The drinks menu, however, is more substantial with choices ranging from classic Suntory Kakubin highballs and Roku gin and tonics to finer sake and wine bottles. At Shhhbuuuleee, food should be enjoyed with a drink.
The other scene-stealer was Red Glutinous Rice with Sakura Shrimp & Salt-Cured Fish Roe (RM24). We relished every bite of the nutty, slightly sticky home-grown red glutinous rice which has absorbed the rich savouriness of both the shrimps and fish roe.
Precious Old China is probably at least twice the price of the food court next door, but the quality of the food is better than average, and the surroundings are really nice. If you are in the market, it’s worth eating there at least once.
Nyonya Belacan Fried Rice, 16.90 ringgit. The Belacan Fried Rice, oooo man – da bomb. Every mouth was heaven. It basically consisted of belacan paste fried rice + Nyonya fried chicken + vege + papadum and belacan sambal on the side. I got exactly what I wanted, perhaps even better, what else can I say
The Tuna tostada (RM22) was my personal favourite. A burst of wonderful, fresh flavours - chopped raw tuna dressed with yuzu and ponzu, and tossed with shiso, avocado, sesame, cucumber and crispy garlic are topped on a crisp deep fried mini tortilla.

Reasons to visit The Deceased Chinatown KL: fun, fun, fun!
It was pretty fun hanging out with bunch of friends at The Deceased, except the place was a little bit hot because there was no A/C at the al fresco area. But I think the cocktails were pretty good. My personal favorites? Tea of Oblivion and The Medium.

Reasons to visit MariGin: Gin – 57 of them! House-made infusions and syrups; knowledgeable and passionate bar staff.
Drinks here are fairly reasonably priced, from RM27++ onward, probably for a basic G&T.
Padrino @ RM 56 is very interesting. A Gin and Tonic, fill with Nikka Coffey Gin served with coffee beans and East Imperial Tonic. Something like wine, as where you are about to drink, the fresh beans brings in the aroma of coffee and the taste of gin and coffee is very well balance.
Reasons to visit Bar Trigona: Gorgeous styling; fabulous cocktails; glorious sunset view; friendly, knowledgeable staff
Reasons to visit: With its delightfully eclectic plating and table-ware, polished rustic Italian cuisine, and highly attentive and knowledgeable waitstaff and sommeliers, Mosto KL represents one of the freshest and best upgraded casual Italian dining experiences in the city. Hey Mosto, Mosto Italiano!
So where did I go to feast on such a platter of porcine paradise? Well, Mosto Wine Bar, and the next question would be, where is it, followed by the answer, ONE KL. I am pretty certain 90% of people won't know where it is.
Sabah Soft Shell Crab Fried Rice, 28 ringgit. Ooooo man, do not get me started on this dish. The fried soft shell crab was da bomb! The crab here was pretty huge, I kindda thought half of it was made up of flour but nope, the flour was just a thin layer on the outside, the inside – was all crab, from one end to the other. No joke. They added some spices and that gave it some sort of spicy, herb-y flavor? It gives it a different taste entirely from the ones you’d usually get elsewhere. The flavors from the crab totally compliments the salted egg fried rice, which on its own was utterly delicious. The whole dish was delicious. Certainly a dish I will reorder again and again.
Set Lunch of the day : Jonker Street Fried Rice + Long Black, 28 ringgit. Ooooo man, I literally started salivating as soon as I got the first visual to this dish. I dove in soon after and guess where I headed first? The chicken satay, yawww !! Meaty , juicy, succulent chicken meat on skewers, 3 pieces on each + the yummy peanut gravy/sauce? da bomb! Soooo delicious. The fried rice was equally as delicious and so was the onion fritters, crispy and crunchy. Okay, every bit of ingredient on the plate was delicious. That is all I’ve got to say, lol. Give it a try and I am sure you’ll agree with me.

For spicy food lovers, the Spicy Seafood Tom Yam (RM32) will certainly get your tastebuds tingling. This Thai hot and sour soup comes with generous amounts of sea bass, squid and prawns.
Among the few dishes we tried, the Roasted Lamb Rack @ RM55.90 was our favorite. It features three pieces of extra large lamb cutlets that were expertly cooked, the meat is so tender!
