Class time! In general, South Indian food is more rice based- In a Malaysian context, that would mean banana leaf rice. Looking at North Indian food, it’s more wheat based- consumed in the fo…
Our all time favorite is the claypot mutton curry.
The basic Banana Leaf Rice Meal comes with three vegetables, Pudina Chutney, Mango Pickles, Pickled Chilli and free flow of curries. I would say that the spread was good and the veggies were fresh and tasty. My rating for their veggies shall be 8/10
[Halal] Thaba Express is a place for great Mughal food, friendly faces and interesting stories.
There are many varieties of Naan here but the one with cheese will be Snow Meleleh Cheese Naan (RM 17). The shredded cheese is akin snow flakes covering the big sized naan, and served along with a choice of curry, which we opted for curry chicken.
I saw their lamb shank curry…and it did look very good. Believe it or not, it was going for just RM8.00 each! No, you do not get a teeny-weeny chunk of it like at some other places at that same price – you get the whole lamb shank… The meat was nice and tender
Overall,it was a good dinner for us. We polished off everything in the plate, it's that good. Initially, I thought I ordered too many dishes for 3 people but at the end I know I made the right decision.
Restaurant Menara at USJ serves up excellent Pakistan and Indian dishes despite its rather irrelevant name and this surprisingly clean and tidy restaurant serves to cater the neighboring patrons with meals as well as catering services for occasions. They could use a better lighting to lighten the restaurant but food is mainly the highlight here. This entertainingly named restaurant offers some very authentic dishes with original spices from India and Pakistan and if I must bring your attention to the wow factor, it’ll have to be the outstanding starter crackers and dip
这是一个值得庆祝或有小功能的好地方。我在晚餐时在那里服务很好,如果你在晚上7点之前到这个地方吃晚餐,那就不是很多人了。
Reasons to visit Najia’s Pakistani Tawa and Grill: authentic Pakistani cooking in a relaxed and cheerful setting; several vegetarian options; all dishes are halal; Prawn Masala and Char Pai Dal are a must-try; reasonably priced; great service.
The Thali meal was delicious. I liked having this particular meal because it allows you to taste a bit of everything. That ‘bit’ came in 8 varieties – payasam, acar, lightly fried coconut, fried brinjal, longbeans, aviyal, rasam and sambar. Yummy! The fish curry was awesome – thick and real flavorful, packed with spices. The only downside to this dish was the fish, as yummy as it was, it came in a small piece, hardly lasted me through half of the rice. Considering this dish as a whole is worth 15 ringgit, I guess the small piece of fish can be overlooked but it sucked though – fish was good too, wish I had more.
