During my visit, i ordered their Supreme Gyoza Ramen which is made from fresh rich and creamy pork bone broth with michi special made chili served with fresh Japanese ramen, komi tamago, 5 pieces of gyoza big size, seaweed, spring onion, white sesame and sweet peas. This bowl of Supreme Gyoza Ramen is spicy but you can choose the spiciness level of. There are a total of 3 different level of spiciness where level 3 being the most spicy of all, so i choose level 1, to me, level 1 is still spicy. Even though so, i still like this bowl of Supreme Gyoza Ramen, the broth is rich, the noodle is smooth and soft and the gyoza if full with filling inside. A satisfying bowl of Supreme Gyoza Ramen.
Their ramen is cooked without any additional salt or MSG, just like how you get back in Japan.
Here's the location.
The Volcano Ramen broth had a bolder meaty notes but with the bed of Chili paste added, the broth was multi-dimensional with a cleaner taste (comparing to the Miso Butter Yasai Ramen).
We had both Wafu Signature Ramen and Volcano Ramen in the 6 in 1 set. Between these 2 options, we preferred the Volcano Ramen due to its heat component. The Wafu Signature Ramen is moderate in terms of their depth of flavour and did not really intrigue us to enjoy more of it.
Why opt for King Kong Ramen in Bayan Lepas? From colossal noodle bowls to tempting Japanese curry rice, sushi, sashimi, and their innovative taco sushi, the menu boasts a diverse array. It's not just about ramen; it's about delivering satisfaction that lingers, leaving you yearning for more.
This place is well organized and clean.
We had Shiroaji Ramen (RM 20.80) featuring original Tonkotsu flavour, then topped with chashu, Japanese bamboo shot slices, wood ear fungus slices, corn kernels, lava egg halves and nori. Overall, the soup offers an addictive and rich flavour with a hint of pleasant salty taste. Though the ramen noodles are al-dente in texture, some of the noodles were clumping and presented in a mass, a sign that it was not cooked and stirred nicely. However, this was just a small flaw and did not jeopardize the overall pleasant taste.
Menya Miyabi Hokkaido Ramen - we can now enjoy really HOKKAIDO RAMEN in Penang now
