The fresh bananas are peeled battered on the spot, and fried at the roadside stall. We didn’t get to try the curry puff, but all fritters were great, with pisang goreng being the best of course. What makes the goreng pisang here stand out from the rest is the use of pisang raja which are firm, soft and incredibly sweet.

烧包的外皮挺酥脆的,里面的内陷也很丰满,不过内陷我觉得有点干,不像奇美的比较“多汁”,这点我还是比较喜欢奇美的内陷。 整体还是不错的。 所以来到芙蓉,不如买些现做现卖的烧包作为手信带回去吧! PS: 据说这里的餐包也不错,可以试试。

Almost all of the tong sui here are nicely executed. It is well balanced between the sweet and delicate flavour. If we were to pick a few that we would recommend, it would be their Sago Gula Melaka which exhibits the delicacy of gula melaka in the most perfect way coupled with sago, sweet beancurd with Barley & Gingko and Mango Pamelo Sago with Ice Cream.

I passed by Eggette Lab many times and saw long queues. A Hong Kong Snack also known as the famous Hong Kong style Egg Waffle. "Is it nice meh?" I thought to myself. "Maybe it is just like our local bahulu kuih made from eggs and flour". But I couldn't resist it last night at Sunway Pyramid when the sweet aroma of eggs was so strong when I walk pass by this Eggette Lab.

Yoo Tiao has a rich tradition in Chinese culture. According to legend, in the Song Dynasty there was a traitor named Qin Hui who orchestrated a plot to frame a celebrated and patriotic general named Yue Fei. Together with his wife, Qin Hui succeeded in having false treason charges brought against the general, who was executed in prison. The story goes on to say that grieving and angry people made two human-shaped pieces of dough --- representing Qin Hui and his wife --- and fried it in boiling oil, calling it “Fried Hui”. Later this kind of food evolved into two pieces of dough joined along in the middle, which is how Yoo Tiao looks today.

Set E from "I love yoo" kiosk at Midvalley mall at MYR 17.90 nett which consist of a glass of soy drink (hot or cold), you tiao (cruller), a bowl of plain congee and one whole steamed herbal chicken leg with a strong Dang Gui (Angelica sinensis) taste which I like. Nasi Lemak Curry Puff I could not detect any taste of coconut milk nor pandan. The main taste of the fillings is sambal. There are whole peanuts, pieces of anchovies, a small piece of hard boiled egg and small pieces of proper chicken meat (not reconstituted ones). It is only slightly spicy. Compared to other curry puffs, this nasi lemak curry puff has a lot more ingredients in it. Having tried it, I don't think I will buy it at the normal price though I may buy it if there is a discount because it tastes fine for a curry puff.

Verdict: It's ABSOLUTELY SUPER SPICY without a doubt! If you can't take spicy food, I will recommend you to avoid this but if you love spicy food and the usual cili padi consumption doesn't give you the kick anymore, then you gotta try this. The popcorn chicken's taste before adding the powder was delicious on its own. Then, I poured in the entire packet of powder and I truly regretted my decision. My tongue was burning hot and it's numb due to the mala ingredient. The Alkaline water saves the day... trust me, you'll need it. Overall, it's delicious and definitely a flame blowing experience for me. Go ahead and try it out yourself.

P.S.L. Goreng Pisang is a well known goreng pisang since 10-20 years back. Their gorend pisang is really nice and sweet. The batter is not thick but crispy. Before they moved to this shop, they fried and sell their goreng pisang at the roadside behind a building. However, they still sell their goreng pisang at roadside as well at this shop.

Papdi Chat, 7.90 ringgit. I know it looks weird but it sure taste delicious. Sure was flavorful. It was wet, crunchy, slightly sweet with a tinge of spice. It containes yogurt + chutney + thinly chopped potatoes + crunchy thinly fried dough + spices and several other ingredients that I missed while busy gobbling it up. It was yummy. I liked it. After lunch, while walking around the food court in Pavilion, I saw this kiosk. I have wanted to try 雞蛋仔from HK for quite a while now but have never dared to order it when I saw that there were no other customers because I was afraid that the ingredients will not be "fresh" if the turnaround is not good. We ordered the Ebi Mayo Takoyaki (6 pieces @ RM17.90 / 8 pieces @ RM20.90) which was topped with shrimp and mayonnaise. Despite the higher price, not to mention every thing are slightly pricier in SkyAvenue Genting, we are not denying with the fact that the takoyaki was delicious. The unassuming looking takoyaki was firm but soft to bite, and it melted it your mouth. There were big chunks of octopus inside each takoyaki. The snack was actually quite filling and we shared one order amongst two people.

Chikabom is actually the upgraded version of bergedil, a Malay-style fried potato patty, in a bigger size and served in chicken soup soto gravy topped with shredded carrot and radish with dried shallots.
