Braised pork rice (RM 6.90) is affordable and decent. Braised Pork Belly Rice (RM 15.90) is slightly sweet and not soft enough (used to be better).
There are many other dishes we have yet to try out on the menu, but I can see myself coming back here whenever I need an intestine fix lol.
Affordable Taiwan food. Quite like the pork belly (Kong Rou) here.
The Steed Pork 控肉饭 Set with side dishes (RM 16.50) is fairly tasty, just the pork could be softer. The Pork Ramen (RM 16.50) is decent.
Decent Taiwanese food, but I don't really fancy them.
I had meesuah (Flour vermicilli) with all the trimmings – oyster, pork and innards (RM10). Meesuah is another popular dish in Taiwan, where they serve it without chopsticks, as the slippery smooth noodles in a broth can be eaten purely with a spoon. The version here was decent, although the pork was tasteless and had an odd jelly-like quality to it, while the innards were a tad too sweet.
The pork leg has to much fat, and the lamb pot not much lamb (but taste good), and the yam dessert is average.
Pretty crowded on a weekend night, but service is still good. Our favourite is the cumin fried pork ribs. The chicken soup which comes with the set is pretty good too.
Overall, we were satisfied with the quality of the food at Taipei Walker, despite the disappointing drink. They have a large selection of dishes to choose from, so I might try something else on my next visit!
Noodle is nice, Siew Yuk is nice, just more pricey.
The noodle is nice.
The rm$4 新鮮熱豆漿 Hot Soya Milk was just slightly sweet but taste healthy and kind of goes well with the Sandwiches sampled.
SS15's 多士號 The Toast House now offering Taiwanese style Bento on-top of their Signature Sandwiches.
Then try out Taiwanese Pancake , Bacon Pancake @ RM 8. It is not too bad on the flat bread, slightly chewy to my liking and I guess worth to give it a shot.
Overall the flavour was pretty good, although I still prefer the one from Gangnam 88. For RM20.90 per set, the price was reasonable but I wished they had more ingredients instead of just a few pieces of fishballs/crabsticks, and less cabbage.
Since I don't bake, I am now hooked on the chiffon cakes by RT Pastry because of their soft and light texture and affordable price. When I went to buy the 4th cake, I also bought some buns.
"兩比索靚鍋 Two Pesos" is a 小火鍋專賣店 or Mini Hot-Pot specialty shop; as the normal hot pot meal is usually for a group of people and special occasions
Two Taiwanese started this hot pot business in Taipei some where in 2005 with the philosophy of providing simple, yet unique, convenient, healthy and affordable daily meal to the locals.
What do We Like about DayOne DayOne 小时光 SS 2? -Great variety of set meals to choose from -Reasonably priced for the set meals that come with side dishes -Comfortable dining environment
The signature rm$11.90 "滿足招牌鍋貼 Manjoe Signature Dumpling" interestingly only comes with one chili sauce! Excellent that it wasn't too greasy at all, still crispy on one side of the dumpling with tasty ingredients inside.
Dinner is Western/Fusion chicken grilled steak for rm$16.90 from USJ10's "樂在 Let's Joy".
Let's Joy USJ10 started dine-in for several weeks now; the crowd is definitely there for this "Taiwanese-style" eatery in USJ10.
Let's Joy is now opened for dine-in.
Pork with Leeks dumplings (8 in a serving) - MYR9.90++ (MYR13.36 nett). This dish is the main reason I came here. Lots of leeks in the filling so it is all good but the skin is too thin. I prefer them to be thicker so I am not going to order them again.
What do We Like about Taiwan Braised Pork Rice & Dessert? -Many variety of Taiwanese dishes
Chicken Drumstick in a Bun at MYR 6.90+ (6% SST = MYR 7.31 nett). Sounds fun to eat so bought two to try. The end of the chicken drumstick is wrapped in aluminium foil and it juts out from the bun. You can also see the drumstick from the other end of the bun. It is nice as the bun tastes of herbs, the chicken drumstick meat is tender and you know that it is chicken meat that you are getting since a whole complete drumstick on the bone is in the bun.
This is a great place to go in Pearl Point at Old Klang Road if you fancy a quick bite of classic Taiwanese dishes. There’s noodle soup, dumplings, Taiwan sausages and more. The mains and set meals are excellent value for money not to mention their speedy services. The signature Taiwanese Sausage (RM 10.90) is served in slices for bite size and a killer accompaniment for that bowl of piping hot Claypot Lou Shi Fun (RM 15.90) and that bowl of steaming Hell-hot Ramen Soup (RM 12.90) .
If you are such a huge fan on fried squid, you will definitely order Crispy Squid (SR) RM7.90 which consists of large squid tentacle meat (only) instead of other Squid parts. This version of fried squid is finely chopped into cube sized, deeply fried, then serve with a few delectable seasonings, simple yet more flavourful compared to any squid parts on the menu.
It is not a big bowl for $8.80, good enough as breakfast for 2-3 hours before lunch!
Happy! Ricebox Set - XXL Crispy Chicken, smooth cold tofu and diced century egg, with my choice of drink, Soya Milk. I really love XXL Crispy Chicken so much! It's delicious because it is very soft-golden crispy!
