Pad Thai, 11.90 ringgit. Now this dish, was da bomb. Delicious. You’d get a plate of sticky, gooey noodles + peanut crumbs + pork meat + tauhu + bean sprouts, mix it all up and yummmmmm!! Of course, add in some chili oil into the mix and it even gets much better. This is worth every penny.

The Porki Society is a Thai restaurant in Sea Park just minutes’ drive away from SS2. They made waves with their boat noodles a couple of years ago when those were still considered the must try food in Klang Valley. Now, The Porki Society is perhaps better well known for their affordable and well executed Thai pork dishes, which I have to say are deserving of their reputation

Red curry [Pork (RM19.80)/ Seafood (RM23.80)] If you adore hot and spicy food, this dish is not to be missed. There's just something so unique about Thai's red coconut, which sits on the sweeter side in comparison to Malaysian curry, but delicious in their very own distinct way. This curry is ideal to be eaten with rice, its thick and savoury broth would make you engulf the rice in no time. We opted for pork, and they were pretty fresh and came in decent amount. Basically their curry is on par with most of the Thai food chains out there, but are more reasonably priced. So the next time you're craving for Thai curry but not ready to burn a hole in your wallet, this place is definitely your go to.

One of the must-try pasta dishes at Greyhound Cafe is the Spaghetti with Dried Salty Fish (RM26). For me, this is pretty similar to an aglio olio, with the addition of holy basil leaves and chillies as well as the crispy salty fish (which is not to be mistaken for salted fish as this is quite lightly salted) which adds texture to the overall dish. Decent thai street food. The pork is good, rice is nice but noodle is too small.

The Poke, 20 ringgit. Man, this dish was delicious! This is apparently a Hawaiian inspired dish which comes with lemongrass fried chicken , egg, several vegetables and K2’s special peanut sauce. At first glance, every item on the plate seem separated, only to be connected by their special sauce blend but upon mixing it all up, it sure did blend well. Every mouthful was yummy and i would totally order this dish again. …. and did I mention that this dish is only 20 ringgit, which also includes free flow of lemongrass drink and prawn crackers? Worth every penny.

Whenever I bring tourists on a food tour, one of the stalls I would visit is Maxwell Fuzhou Oyster Cake.

Maxwell Food Centre is one of those food centres that both tourists and Singapore locals go to. I say this because some food spots get overly touristy and commercialized, but Maxwell is a convenient go-to for affordable credible Singapore food throughout the day till supper.

A nice place to visit and have dinner. The ambience and night lighting is very good. The serving of food is way too fast: our salad, soup and main courses are served together in less than 10 minutes. The food is alright and not too expensive. They have live signing and some light performances even on weekdays. If you like it quiet, you can find indoor as well.

Although this place is beautifully captured during daytime, we suggest to stay until the sun goes down and you’ll be even more amazed of how beautiful it is when the sky gets dark! Maybe our photos don’t really do the judge here, but the view was just so unforgettable it looked like a living postcard shot or something.

Their Chinese New Year package range start from RM188 to RM598, Nong & Jimmy don't have fancy ambience but offers good quality and delicious foods to patrons. Reasonable price and I was happy with the actual quality when I tried it. I'm really satisfied with it, aww~~ i missed the zesty, spicy, and flavorful Thai food now!

SO is On Lok Yun as much of a “MUST-VISIT” place like what everyone says? Well… If you’re intending to tour around the Chinatown area, then why not? Otherwise, if this is out of the way and you’ve difficulties in fitting this in your itinerary, I’d say skip it. The food here isn’t out of this world, just plain classic old breakfast you could really just whip up on your own, really. It’s probably just the ambience, the effort to get here, and the taste of the food that brings back the kind of homely happiness and nostalgia that keeps people coming back whenever there are in Bangkok! Hey, not forgetting they have accidentally photogenic tables too!
