Crown Bakery & cafe is another great cafe along Bukit Timah Road. They have a really nice blue interior with black and white checkered floors and lamps resembling their crown logo.
Quality of food and service still remain pleasant since my first visit many years back with friends.
My favorite of the lot, was the Japanese Sweet Potato Mini Loaf. When its stated as mini, it really was!
Seriously concentrated, layered and good stuff, this affogato.
Affogato Bar is a tiny cafe in Cluny Court, the small shopping arcade across the Botanic Garden MRT station.
Words and photos by Belinda Yong who wishes that every time of the day is food o' clock. She loves trying new cuisines and creations, and prays hard for a higher metabolism.
I will recommend it to anyone who wishes to enjoy Cafe food in such a lovely ambiance.
Service was sincere and friendly, the food wasn’t life-changing but good enough for café standard.
I didn't realize it until I got here that Smiths does a Sunday roast. It's much bigger than the one from The Penny Black, but the beef above was rather dry, and I wasn't that excited about the rest of the plate outside of the potatoes. The fish and chips here are still solid though.
I'm not sure how long this has been on the menu, but Smiths does kebabs now, featuring meat and bread imported from the UK.

Atlas Coffeehouse has a vibe that I quite like and the food is good and decently priced.
Making Atlas Coffeehouse my cafe regular spot in Bukit Timah. You should too.
Overall, the vibes at this cafe scream “hipster with a touch of comfortable charm”. While the exterior of the cafe is plain and fairly nondescript, once you step into this fully air-conditioned cafe, you will be transported to a softly-lit, artfully-minimalistic universe filled with subdued colours and a buzzing atmosphere. Perfect for a weekend brunch.
Nice hae bi hiam and prawn flavours and umami. Pasta well cooked and al dente. I’ve missed this place.
Relish by Wild Rocket at Cluny Court in Bukit Timah is one of our favourite places to eat around that area.
Relish @ Cluny Court is a pleasant, laid back place away from the usual busy places in Singapore.
KARA Cafe & Dessert Bar is an upscale independent café serving eclectic ‘all-day dining’ hearty comfort food.
The highlight is their homemade Mochi Waffles with Froyo.
Nice soothing decor with botanical impressions on the walls, taking inspiration from the UNESCO World Heritage awarded Singapore Botanic Gardens.

For those who love and appreciate steak, you can check this festive menu here in District 10. They offer pretty good aged beef with affordable pricing.
I'll highly recommend those who are curious to go try it for themselves.
Greenwood Fish Market has always been my place for a good meal for their fishes are fresh and comes with a good varieties
The Flounder Steak was a tinge overcooked, perhaps given that it was a thinner piece.
My only memory of King Albert Park was the McDonald's and since the building was rebuilt; i had never stepped foot until a week ago when my family was craving for ice cream after a tze-char meal along the nearby Bukit Timah road.
Kindred Folks is a great place for students to unwind after a busy day at school.
A promising ice cream cafe which had velvety smooth hand-crafted ice cream. If they could work out more interesting flavours and refine the texture of the waffles, would be a hit with students.
Opted for the Wild Barramundi Brown Rice Bowl as the zucchini pesto pasta wasn't available on the menu. Served in a charming clay pot, the dish includes pesto sauce to mix with the brown rice, garnished with shredded lettuce, red onion, avocado, and a lime wedge.
I just wanted to say how fresh and yummy the barramundi fish is! yum yum yum! The brown rice is also fragrant. Can i eat healthy from now on? lol
i'd come back to try that if we're in the area.
Pretty flavourful moist meat in a savoury package of umami and some sweetness from those onions.
not particularly hot on this place myself, but it is doable to come once in a while. in fact this my first time here!
Da Paolo Pizza Bar is one of the more enduring tenants of the Chip Bee Gardens side of the Holland Village enclave. A casual restaurant specialising in pizza, it's part of the Da Paolo Group of dining concepts.
This piece I had was so juicy with a tenderness that oozed even more of the delectable natural juice as I slowly chewed through the meat. Costing S$22 every 100 grams, a hasty indulgence would have been unworthy of the money spent.
The beef itself maintains its tenderness and crisp exterior after delivery. As it comes as a whole, be sure to get your knives ready to slice it in to pieces. There’s not as much of the annoying tendons to pick apart and the beef’s doneness is just right: medium-rare.
Excellent high end steaks at mid range prices in someone’s backyard! Compelling enough?
Overall afternoon tea experience here at Boyle's Coffee was pretty stellar, with good vibes and coffee forming the bases of a quality chillout session
The Macarons (SGD $2.70 per piece) here are balanced in sweetness, not too overwhelming, nice.
Looking for more bites? There is also the Butter & Jam Toast (S$4) and Sticky Bun (S$4). Sweet treats include a selection of cakes over at the display counter.
The cake was moist and perfumed with lemon zest, making for a wonderful afternoon treat.
I bet you’ll struggle to decide on the amount that you should give, like we did.
A good thing about Pasar Bella is that although it is quite huge, it is still easy to navigate around. A possible downside was that I didn’t really get the feeling of being in a bustling European market.
One of the latest additions to The Providore's menu is the monstrous Grass-fed Beef Burger. I must particularly direct your attention to the wonderful serving of fries — the result of several days of freezing, light frying, re-freezing and further deep-frying. This makes the texture so crisp and the colour so brilliantly golden. Definitely one of the best chips out there!
All in all, we love the food whipped by Chef Michael Lewis and his team at Tin Hill Social. Furthermore, there is an attractive 50% discount via Avocado using the link.
I think its worth going again as the quality of food is good and serving is quite reasonable for the price paid.
The place is nice but given Singapore's humid weather most of the time, ambience alone isn't a big enough draw for me to return.
The Little Diner is a restaurant inspired by places which the founders had travelled to, such as New York City’s Lower East Side.
