The Chicken Mandi Rice was very well-marinated with herbs and spices packed with a smoky flavour. A total hit with us, it was delicious preparation of chicken cooked with mandi powder served over a layer of basmati rice. It is packed with spices flavours and the taste of the perfect blend of spices. Best eaten along with raita for a delicious meal.
As for the main course, we can choose to have the set of rice with chicken or lamb. The rice consist of Mandi, Kabsa, Biryani and Maqluba. They were all really fluffy and the spices are quite well balanced. It's not as filling as having a full bowl of white rice at all. The protein was nicely cooked and marinated adequately especially the lamb which was incredibly tender
Next up, we had the Lamb Mandi and as a lamb-meat lover, this was my favorite dish of all. The lamb meat was so soft, juicy and no gamey smell at all. I believe those who doesn't eat lamb due to the strong smell will be able to eat their Lamb Mandi. Not doubt that this was one of their best seller and popular dish. Oh yes, it was so filling as this dish comes with the spice flavored basmati rice.
[Halal beef] Who loves wagyu beef? After hearing our friend rave about this place, we checked out the newly opened Wagyu Restaurant on Lorong Yap Kwan Seng.
Some of the cuts we tried here include the Beef Tongue PRIME with salt leeks (RM49), Wagyu kalbi (RM48) and Wagyu loin (rare parts PRIME) (RM78). The beef is grilled over charcoal embers, which has been heated to 450 to 500 degrees celcius. Everything was so good - absolutely tender, melt-in-the-mouth goodness.
