Curry Mee + Drink, 14.50 ringgit. It was yummy! The broth was spicy and milky but not overwhelmingly thick to an extent that it fills you up quick. I did enjoy sipping on that broth, slurp slurp slurp! The noodles, I opted for Mee, mee hoon mix, which was the perfect combination here. There were plenty of chicken slices and green beans. If you fancy ‘kerang’, cockles – go for it, I decided to go without it. The fried dumplings, brinjals were awesome. Leaving them to soak for a bit in the broth provided it with an amazing flavor, all wet and dense, flavorful on the outside and chewy on the inside, lovely. The dish came with a generous amount of pork skin, it sure was soft and succulent. Overall, I enjoyed this dish.

If you know someone who grew up in Kepong in the 80s, ask them if they know about Ah Yee Curry Mee. Chances are they have been eating her food since young. From what I was told, Ah Yee Curry Mee had a humble beginning as an economy noodle and chee cheong fun stall. Yong tau fu and other noodles were only added as part of her offerings in the later years.
