[Halal] We finally checked out this establishment for their famous dish – Dancing Fish. The presentation is very cool – the fish really looks like it is dancing/jumping.
DF Appetizer Platter (RM 49.80) comes to our favorite where the platter is packed with their signature items which includes their charcoal – grilled Chicken Satay, Cumi Cumi Tahu Bakar with the Spicy Peanut Rujak Sauce, Seafood Sate Lilit and Spicy Green Apple Salad with Salted Fish. The platter is just awesome where they are packed with flavors as well.
BBQ Beef ribs with Sambal Matah RM79.90 BBQ Beef ribs with Sambal Matah, our top favourite aside from Dancing Fish and Charcoal-grilled Satay. Australian beef ribs marinated and braised in aromatic herbs, spices, then barbecued over charcoal. Love how the full-flavour meat is easily fall off the bone, yet still remaining the succulent texture, not just plain softness. Topped with dressing prepared from chopped red chillies, green chillies, onion to balanced up the flavours.
another signature they have is Buntut Goreng Enak. Deep fried chunks of Australian oxtail, marinated and braised in aromatic herbs and spices which were then barbecued over charcoal fire to intensify the flavours. Eat along with the 3 sambal depending on your taste bud. I love it with green samble or I mixx 3 of it is the best combination. Soft fragrant crispy buntut.
My personal favourite here is the Udang Masak Lemak Chilli Padi Nenas (RM93.50), which comes with five large, fresh tiger prawns slow cooked with turmeric, spices, herbs and pineapples. A classic Malacca Nyonya prawn curry, the gravy was so delicious that it'll make you want to eat more rice (doused in lots of gravy!). At the restaurant, you can choose either the Nasi Wangi Putih or Nasi Kuning Berempah.
Dancing Fish is pleased to launch its enhanced menu with more exciting and tantalizing dishes with full of intense flavour! Be sure to try out their new dishes such as Udang Masak Lemak Chili Padi Nenas, Soft Shell Crab with Chili Sambal and Rice Cracker, Dancing Fish with Gulai Tempoyak, BBQ Beef Ribs with Sambal Matah and more.
Located on the 3rd Floor of Bangsar Shopping Centre, Dancing Fish is one of the few distinguished restaurant in town that serves reasonably priced, good selection of Indo-Malay cuisine. In this write-up, I will be showcasing some of Dancing Fish's best-selling dishes, carefully crafted by the Chef, all meant to be shared.
Suitably entrancing but – not over the top setting, a menu adorned with the timeless Indonesian classics and on the money address, it is quite reasonable and Dancing Fish has everything going on it. Dancing Fish, of course is the highlight of the overall meal – which the restaurant naming after it. Fresh from the tank; the Tilapia fish is being deep fried till golden prawn with the graceful dancing position. Served together with the Sambal Terasi and Kicap. The fish comes with the complete crispiness and retains its juiciness in it. With the technique of deep frying the fish comes so crispy where the bones can be eaten too. It is good to enjoy them with the restaurant’s nasi kuning berempah for a hearty meal.
