Moving next, we had the Christmas-on-Fire Spaghetti with Turkey Meatballs (RM32). The meatballs are made from turkey and then it is then fried till crispy perfection and topped together with the freid garlic and chily. The al-dente pasta paired with the boucy juicy meatballs were just good and whats more with the kick of spiciness that comes with it.
One of our favorite dishes from their festive menu is the Tom Ka Rice with Sun-Dried Beef Strip and Som Tam (RM36). The beef strips are first marinated, hung out to air-dry, then deep fried and is served with a tangy, spicy tomato jaew sauce. It's like beef jerky but meatier, slightly chewy and absolutely delicious. This also comes with a green papaya salad (som tam) and aromatic Thai-style galangal rice pilaf cooked in coconut milk.
Greyhound Famous Fried Chicken Wings RM18 Greyhound Famous Fried Chicken Wings , one of our favourite Thai street snacks. Thai chicken wings appear to be drier and smaller in size but it is amazingly good with the extra crispy, golden brown outer layer laced with umami-ness of fish sauce, and tender meat locked with juiciness.
Spicy Spaghetti Thai Sauce (RM26) If you are a spicy lover, go for their Stir-Fried Spaghetti with the choice of beef, chicken or seafood. The spaghetti is perfectly cooked al-dente with the ingredients together with the chilies, peppercorns and basil leaves.
The Salmon sashimi dish is visually arresting, with its symmetrical plating and vibrant colours. Fresh sashimi-grade salmon slices are topped with raw garlic slivers, dill, mint and a spicy hot pesto sauce made from Thai basil. Love the fresh, spicy and tangy flavours of this dish.
This GreyHound Cafe at Midvalley Mall is facing the Gardens Mall. There is another outlet in the middle of town. Three of us went for lunch during a workday and two of us shared a bowl of noodle in Tom Yum Koong at MYR32++ (10% service charge 6% GST for a nett price of MYR37.30). The noodle is flat rice noodle (hor fun).
