The New Savoy Porridge is now passing to the next generation which is by the daughter. Maintaining most of the dishes from old stalls, these are the flavor of classic and comfort food for most of the diners. For those that looking for this nostalgic taste, this place is not to be missed.

Pork Burger with Egg – RM14.90. Specialty pork burger with BBQ/ Black Pepper/ Teriyaki sauce with fries and salad. The Pork/ Chicken burger here is one of the signature dishes. The specialty of this burger is their homemade patty. The juicy and tender patty was topped with cheese and a slice of egg. Having the burger here is indeed much better than most of the fast food restaurants.
Located on Servis Road, Chia Fong Chieng (家风情) is a non-halal restaurant run by Mr. Choy and his daughter An An (who manages the kitchen). The outlet does not accept walk-ins and is strictly for reservations, with a day notice in advance. With an eclectic ambience filled with personal collection of furnishings and plants, the dining room with casual setting seats many. The tables are laid with flower table cloth and Chinese motif tableware.
Patois Kafe & Bistro has got to be the most curious restaurant in Penang ever, the place is usually closed and only opens during certain hours. We have made multiple attempts to visit the place but to no avail. Dining in Patois is quite an experience, the menu is small but the service is amiable. We were warmly greeted by a charming-motherly lady; she was concerned if we knew what to order (since it was our first visit), if we were comfortably seated and if the air-conditioner was blowing at the right temperature. We were certainly well-taken care of. The place is unpretentious sans the unnecessary frills, it feels exactly dining at home. Service and ambiance aside, the European-Fusion menu is standard-average with some hits and misses. Patois Kafe & Bistro is located at Service Road, off Burmah Road (right next to Chow Thye Road).
Every cuisine was gentle, it was a taste that I wanted to eat again. Every dish was so nice and unforgettable taste.
