We did enjoying tasting the 4 types of kuih.
I felt that the food had improved in both taste and selections. Their Hainanese chicken chop, sambal chicken chop, pohpiah in laksa soup and chicken curry are much enhanced since December 2018
This is totally not bias, you’ll get the same experience if you’re interested, Kuih Culture is more than willing to share everything with you.
We wanted Hainanese Chicken Chop but it was Hainanese Chicken Chop Rice that was sent to our table. The slab of Chicken Chop was well-coated with Egg and it was delicious. We love the meaty texture with a burst of alluring Eggy aroma. The gravy was a disappointment though, it was nothing Hainanese; on its own, the Chicken Chop was good but more to a misnomer to call it Hainanese Chicken Chop
On a personal preference, we liked the kuih here - not so sweet and texture is good. It is great to see traits of traditional Nyonya kuih did not diminish as Penang progressively developing.
The cendul prepared with shaved ice, creamy coconut milk, small sized red beans, aromatic palm sugar syrup and homemade soft green chendul is absolutely worth trying.
