        As for the 240g chicken patty, it was made with 70% chicken breast and 30% chicken thigh, the patty was juicy. The avocado pesto salsa was refreshing and fragrant to go with the chicken patty, good combination it was.

          The vibes here are quite interesting but a bit expensive, eg. Paleo Beef Burger (RM 26.90) where the portion is quite big.

            Would I head here again? Hmmmm, if I want a cheerful place to hang out at , that is noisy and full of laughter and people talking and all, then yea, I would head here. For the food specifically , not so much. Like I said in the intro, first for its boisterous environment and then for the food.

              I did not know what to order after looking through the menu many times. Awesome Canteen is known for its Paleo menu. Eating the Paleo way means no processed food at all. If you are interested, you can perform an online search on the Paleo Diet which is very popular now.

                Verdict: Awesome Canteen at Taman Paramount is a nice and cosy eatery for you to dine with your family or friends. Food is good too, with a selection of yummy and healthy “carbs free” menu.

                  So the conclusion is: visit Awesome Canteen, it’s awesome. This food trip showed me, very eloquently, that when restaurants dedicate enough time to be great, to be exemplar – they can indeed live up to such a name. This café is living proof! Reasons to visit: good number of Paleo and gluten-free menu items; juicy burgers; excellent coffee using beans from local roasters; Sweet Potato Fries.

                    Awesome Chicken RM 29.90 With a name like that, you better be awesome. Juicy chicken topped with mushrooms & onion. Served with salad and mash on the side. Verdict - It tastes like siu yok LOL The slightly burnt taste of the crunchy skin really has some similarity to siu yok. But apart from that, it's pretty much a yummy chicken chop. An expensive chicken chop =/ I read some comments saying the food here is bland but my food was okay.

                      Verdict: Food wise, the paleo menu unequivocally suit my diet practice (I normally skip carbohydrate intake during dinner) and I like the ambiance nonetheless. Is the food at Awesome Canteen living up to the name? Drop by and allow your palate to make its judgement!

                        Overall, no doubt this is one awesome canteen, both its environment and its wide variety of food. Sipping coffee in this relaxing old school canteen with gourmet burgers and paleo dishes to choose from, how you wish your childhood recesses were like this. :)

                            One of the best sellers at Awesome Canteen - soft baked lychee cheesecake. The dessert was quite tasty, though I thought the biscuit base could have been a tad more crumbly. Not baked daily I presumed. Overall Rating: 6/10. Towards the end of my meal, I told my friend, this place would do well as a hangover jaunt, where taste buds are still numbed from alcohol and with most food tasting like no other. For me, Awesome Canteen was not so awesome after all.

                              Awesome Canteen at Taman Paramount Sea Park, PJ sells delicious burgers and other western foods. It also has very nice decoration with some antic stuffs.
