          As usual, noodle of choice is kuay teow. I'm afraid it was not as good as I remembered. No, actually I don't remember. Again, I suspect my tastebuds have changed.

                    My order from Annie 1 daily lunch menu - rice with pork pattie, vegetables and soup of the day at MYR 8.50 nett. Compared to the sweet and sour pork pattie rice meal I had previously, this one is served without any sauce/gravy so they included a bowl of white radish and dates soup foc.

                          Finally I was able to eat at Annie 1 yesterday and order from their Wednesday's special lunch menu. All 3 of us went for item 2 (Sweet and Sour Mince Pork Pattie Rice Set) at MYR7.80+ 6% GST (MYR8.30 nett).

                            I had the Dry Wanton Mee with char siew and wantan (RM7.20). I liked the texture and taste of the noodles - very yummy. The BBQ pork (char siew) is also pretty good, slightly lean with a nice caramalised glaze. Since we liked the noodles, so we ordered another plate later - dry wanton mee with char siew (RM7) for sharing.

                              Still a good place to get your wantan mee and curry laksa fix but you'd probably want to stick with the curry laksa supreme.....washed down with a glass of iced Ipoh white coffee and a sweet dessert of Ipoh mak chuk....yes! ;)

                                It is definitely a place worthy of a revisit to explore more of their menu. The caramel egg custard is my next target!

                                  Glad to say that Annie 1 wantan mee is the better version in Klang Valley, not too saucy nor oily, with mildly sweet gravy coated just nice to the springy noodles. Summerkid commented that the noodles would be better with more saltiness from sauces. Another downside is, portion is quite small, so you may want to add half noodle at RM0.70. While for double size noodle (孖面), add another RM1.20.

                                    TVerdict: Annie 1 in Damansara Uptown is a good place to enjoy Ipoh street food in a clean environment. Among the famous food here includes Menglembu Wan Tan Mee, Chee Cheong Fun, Curry Noodles and a variety of snacks/ tong sui. Arrive early on weekends or be prepared to wait for tables.

                                      Verdict : Recommended for those who loves and misses Ipoh’s good food! Of course the wan tan mee cannot beat Tronoh’s, the white coffee cannot beat Onn Huat’s, but enough to satisfy our cravings.

                                        The Yam Cake is highly commendable...truly delicious. The only thing is that for three small pieces, the price of RM 3.00 was a little over charge. This is in my opinion but definitely no regrets on the taste.

                                          In summary, come here for a no-frills breakfast, lunch or dinner, and yes … I believe that this could be the next best alternative outside of Ipoh for classic Ipoh street food.
