My personal favourite was the Tuaran Grilled Calamari (RM35.80), super flavorful stir fried Tuaran noodles topped with freshly grilled Sabah squid. Hearty, wholesome goodness!
Reasons to visit The Blockbunsters: A slightly quirky vibe with a good gin list at a reasonable price. Burgers of different shapes, sizes and flavours. Remember, being Knowhere is somewhere.
My favourite was the Priyanka Claw-pra, with delicious varuval crab patty on a bed of arugula and curry aioli.
The Roasted Chicken Leg (RM28.80) was the dish most liked by hubby. Again, portioning was respectable. The same carrots that were found with the fish reappeared here along with a bucket of double-fried whole potatoes.
Smoked Canard & Plum (RM 24.80) Dont miss out this awesome appetizer. The delicious prepared appetizers which brings you a delicious touch. The House- Smoked Duck is beautifully done where it is served with plum and peach salsa together with the mango sauce and onion marmalade. I am loving the twist of the sweetness combined with the juiciness of the smoked duck. Really good!
We love a good burger, and the Un-Quarter Pounder (RM30.80) was one big, delicious and juicy burger. The beef patty is sandwiched between sauteed mushrooms, gherkins, peppers, arugula and finished with a creamy soubise sauce.
Sambal Smoked Spaghetti (RM 32.80) The Sambal Smoked Spaghetti is something worth to go for where the spaghetti is cooked al-dente with the kick of spiciness in it. it comes amazingly good especially the with the creamy smoked salmon that is topped with it. It brings you with the nice blend and kick of the sambal tomato sauce which well matches the whole dish)
Fumed Duck (RM30.80) Smoked duck breast served with sherry reduction, mash, vegetables and seared plums OH MY GOSH. I can’t describe in words how much I fricken LOVE this dish! I already love anything with smoked ducks, but this is the best I’ve tasted so far! Meat is tender, perfectly cooked and glazed with the sweet sherry reduction. It’s so damn good. Meaty and sweet, but not overly sweet. Highly recommended!
The Smoked canard and plum (RM24.80) was one of my favorites, slices of house smoked duck paired with a sweet plum and peach salsa, mango sauce and onion marmalade. Fantastic combination of flavours.
Verdict: Brunch is a wonderful affair and even more so when you get to have a glass of vino with your favourite comfort meal. The food we tried was above average, service wise, our class of wine was refilled regularly throughout our brunch.
New on the brunch menu is the Nasi Ulam Ayam Bakar (RM32.80), a whole chicken leg rubbed with turmeric and lemongrass, grilled and served with Malaysian style rice salad and percik sauce. The chicken was tender, juicy and flavorful.. especially good eaten with the percik sauce.
Reasons to visit the cheapest brunch in KL: genuinely low price for a free-flow weekend brunch; quirky cool decor; strong efforts to be sustainable (reusable coasters, no plastic straws, composting of organic waste).
For some pairing with your cocktail with strong flavour, then do not miss out their own secret recipe of Mutton Curry @ RM 22.80 that serve with baked bread. Love the mix spices for the curries which is just simple and good.
Asari Doenjang Delicious and comforting clam stewed in soybean paste topped with coriander and chili.
All in all, KNOWHERE has quality food and drinks to go with plus an enjoyable setting to chill with friends.
Grilled Calamari RM24.80 Grilled Calamari is a local flavours-infused dish, serving fiery hot condiment that Malaysian prides at – Sambal, along with South Chine Sea grilled squid. Squid fresh from the grill, aromatic, fresh and bouncy. Great on its own, better to dip with piquant Belacan salsa.
整体来说,Knowhere是很不错的;他们家的调酒价钱在Bangsar这区来说算是便宜的,加上他们家食物确实很不错吃,还真的蛮适合和三五好友来这里度过一个美好夜晚的。
Reasons to visit Knowhere Bangsar: Innovative and delicious cocktails with fresh, local ingredients, house-infused spirits and deliciously tart homemade grapefruit soda; A unique and stylish setting with a fairy light webbed ceiling creating the illusion of a starry night sky; no plastic straws, reusable napkins, and a zero-waste goal.
My top pick has to be the Burnt Butter Steak featuring a well-seasoned sliced flank steak lightly seared to perfection in a medium rare done, maintaining it's original juiciness and completes the dish with a final drizzle of the flavourful of chilli burnt butter sauce.
SMOKED PLUME AND PLUM (MYR 24.80) For some Japanese inspired fare, let’s relish in this house-smoked duck served with plum and peach salsa, mango salsa and onion marmalade. The meat is nicely smoked and very tender to my liking.
