Nice, sweet, smoky and tender unagi.
I literally only have one fear in life; snakes. Even then, it has been downgraded from a phobia and I could now see them in books, watch the...
we shared a parfait…this not comparable with sun with moon, can do without. but unagi I will come again.
excellent whole unagi kebayaki set 4pax family dinner.
still good tasty but somehow didn’t taste like the excellent live unagi kebayaki…kind of let down..
for me, both are good..i lean towards man man..uya large hitsumabushi S$46 more expansive for the same size serving
Absolutely delicious, although around s$43.50/pax after taxes and service isn't exactly cheap.
Uya is good on its own right–really, no complaints–and some people may prefer a less sweet version of unadon.

I enjoyed an excellent Hitsumabushi or grilled eel with rice at the recently opened Uya Singapore unagi restaurant at Wheelock Place
The excellent quality of their unagi is evident from the creamy and delicate flesh and as such, the fish is given the respect it deserves, that is, a simple application of their tare and masterfully grilled over a charcoal grill.
Overall, I reckon this got to do more with consistency issues rather than teething, as I was possibly the only customer in the restaurant then.
