Tonight's 5-course wine dégustation menu is priced at RM330.00++ per person. Considering Soleil's refined ambience and impeccable table service, the price is very affordable to people who appreciate fine wines. In fact, Soleil aims to make quality wines more accessible to the average customer.

The sixth dish, a dessert course, was the Parsley and Mint Cake consisting of parsley and mint sponge cake, served with olive oil ice cream and honey mascarpone. This dessert was quite inventive with its use of non-traditional dessert ingredients.

Short version - overall, the food remains the quality it used to be, and if anything has improved in tongue titillation terms. Chef Evert has clearly been busy researching and has assembled a darned good team there in the kitchen. In contrast, the service appears to need large and quick attention and determine single chains of command in both food and wine service terms.

Soleil is a pretty premium place to dine so it’s only fitting that it’s located in the very upmarket neighbourhood of Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur. The food is fresh and unique – thanks to Chef Evert’s skills and creativity which sees him successfully update traditional European flavours and fuse them with some Asian ingredients resulting in some really stunning dishes indeed!

It's been awhile since I last been to SOLEIL Restaurant & Wine Bar. What a better way to visit them again but this time around at their brand new flagship outlet located at DC Mall - Damansara City Mall in Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur. Famous for their finest offerings in gourmet cuisine and fine wine which I tasted on my last review for their Mother's Day 'Don't Mess With Me' Special Menu, and this time, I was pretty excited to try out their latest new casual dining menu at the new SOLEIL! 😍😍😍
