Aunty Christina's Sarawak Laksa is known to serve one of the best Sarawak Laksa in Sea Park, Petaling Jaya. Aunty Christina has been around since 1960, and it's no stranger to the locals. Here we are trying out this awesome Sarawak Laksa for the first time!
I was awestruck at the presentation when the food came. Two large prawns were perched on shredded chicken and omelette cascading down a generous portion of noodles. Mixed in with the noodles were bean sprouts which added an extra crunch to the texture.
The pork stomach was tenderised and easy on the chewing. Overall a good eat.
I ate this Kacangma Chicken with rice at Aunty Christina eatery in Seapark, PJ. Quite a large portion at MYR 10.60 nett so I kept half for dinner. I like the taste of Kacangma (益母草 aka Chinese Motherwort) and the strong taste of wine. I will eat this again. The taste of wine is much stronger than the one I ate at Zun Express.
I’m happy to report that while there’s been an upgrade to the price and ambiance, Aunty Christina’s laksa still remains true to it’s origin and tastes exactly the same as it did when I first tried it over ten years ago. There’s still the prawn, strips of chicken, shredded egg, bean sprout, and some greens as garnish. Still lovely as ever.
I have eaten Aunty Christina Sarawak Laksa when she operated from a stall in a coffee shop in Lucky Garden, Bangsar so when I read that she has a shop now in Seapark, PJ, I went there to have lunch one day.
For over 20 years, Aunty Christina’s has been churning out delicious Sarawak Laksa in Kedai Kopi Nan Chun, Bangsar KL. A visit to this kopitiam you will see that almost every table has a bowl of this noodles. Clearly, the famous order here.
This time I went to Bangsar for Auntie Christina Sarawak Laksa, which many claim is be the best Sarawak Laksa in Klang Valley. Kolo Mee aside, Sarawak Laksa is another hawker food from Sarawak that I fancy a lot. The most memorable Sarawak Laksa I ever had was at Choong Choon Cafe 2 years ago …
