Class time! In general, South Indian food is more rice based- In a Malaysian context, that would mean banana leaf rice. Looking at North Indian food, it’s more wheat based- consumed in the fo…
Finally I went to this famous tandoori restaurant! It's just a stone throw's distance from the Dataran Pahlawan shopping mall. We walked from the shopping mall to the restaurant. It took us 15 minutes to reach there. We ordered cheese naan and Masala Butter Chicken. The rice was so good too! The price was okay! Not that pricey.
This may be the busiest Tandoori & Naan restaurant in Malaysia!
A few quick words of advice when you dine at Pak Putra, i.e. (1) try to go as early as possible (before 5.30 pm) or as late as possible (after 9 pm) if you want to avoid having to wait for too long for a table and your food.
Verdict: Definitely worth a visit if you are fan of naan and tandoori. I wish I can get such a great version at Klang Valley, any recommendation?
On our last evening in Melaka, Ling and I both wanted to try different cuisines. We had quite a bit of Indian cuisine just yesterday, but I still wanted to try this Tandoori restaurant that’s rated #1 of all restaurants at Tripadvisor. Ling on the other hand wanted to try Milk crabs at a Chinese restaurant just outside our hotel. What to do – we have only so much stomach space to go around.
I didn’t believe it when a friend of mine tipped me that the best tandoori & naan in Malaysia is found in Melaka town.
