Flavours were sweet and clear in most of the dishes, as what Hongkong-style does: allowing the natural goodness of ingredients to shine. With wellness very much in mind, the dishes are well executed with minimal use of oil and hard flavouring
Our favourite. A duo-combi of warm, silky smooth steamed egg with lobster; and morsels of bouncy lobster ball jacketed in crispy, golden brown breaded outer layer.
無論是蒸點、炸點、熱炒、粥、包子等甜點,每一道擺盤相當精緻,還以 fine dine 般呈現到上桌。味道更二話不說,不但美味而且還很 juicy 呢!
Chicken braised with chestnuts and mountain yam was such a comforting dish. Steaming hot in a claypot, the sauce caramelized at the bottom as we ate, and that added a delightful charred aroma to the dish. The softened chestnuts and mountain yam have absorbed the gravy and be warned: you may want to have some plain rice with this pot of braised goodness.
The Steamed Prawn with Truffle Har Gow (RM18) is sublime. Thin and translucent crystal skin dumpling filled with fresh bouncy prawns with bits of truffle, hardly a dumpling one can say no too.
Braised Fresh Scallop with Seaweed and Seafood Thick Soup (RM 36) One of the must have here is the Braised Fresh Scallop with Seaweed and Seafood Thick Soup. This is perfectly good where the soup comes thick with small cubes of the prawns and squids in it. Each mouthful just perfect for our taste buds and addictively delicious.

Reason to visit: inspired menu, great art, innovative culinary idea. For August 2017, Five Sen5es at The Westin Kuala Lumpur is offering an especially curated luncheon – inspired by the grains which inspired Taiwanese artist Liao Ying Hsi to create her stunning larger than life pieces – which are now on display both at Five Sen5es and at Art WeMe. This five course special menu is available all August, and offers a twist on how we use grains, seeds, and beans. Certainly an interesting experience, but one that opened the mind up to our earthy friends and how well they can be incorporated into some stunning dishes.
Five Sen5es of The Westin Kuala Lumpur, PIN Prestige and Art WeMe brought hands together to present a food X art campaign with adorable and meaningful art installation by sculpture artist Ms. Liao Ying Hsi (廖迎晰). The art-complementing culinary experience was served up to and appreciated by the city’s elites in Kuala Lumpur. Hailing from Taiwan, Ms. Liao’s lovely sculptures dubbed Mi Bao – Go (米寶向前衝) were made to spread optimism to those facing food shortages as well as bringing us back to the origin of the vastly sophisticated food scene we have in the modern world.. Inspired by her work, Head Chef Tan Tzaan Liing from Five Sen5es designed a curated 6-course luncheon themed around seeds — a symbol of how something small can bring immense hope. The special menu is also available for order as a la carte dishes in Five Sen5es from 01 August to 31 August 2017
