I find the chicken cutlet extremely oily and jelak that I only managed to stomach one piece. It did not help that there is only half a wedge of lemon to cut through all the grease.

Petite in size, but big in flavour, Ah Tan Wings are dangerously addictive. Shrimp paste chicken that is surf and turf exemplified, uniting the best of the sea and the land in one crispy celebration.

I appreciate that lemon wedges were thoughtfully provided to brighten the intense flavours. What a deeply umami, highly seasoned and mouth-wateringly fragrant treat! If I wasn’t so full from sharing the atas cutlet set, I probably could have polished all of them off myself!

The price for this set is $6.80 but I only had to pay $6.12 with 10% off simply by using the Tuck Shop app.

Overall, I do not understand the hype. I like the wings for its taste. But for $1.70 and considering that it is on the oily end, I will give it a skip.

The robust salty savoury fermented prawn taste was rather flat and it overwhelmed any flavour there was in the skin and moist meat of the chicken wing. The whole chicken wing tasted only of fermented prawn paste based marinade.

A definite yes. Great Har Cheong Gai, at very reasonable prices, and there is no reason why we would not return.

With such quality, Ah Tan Wings is a place that shrimp paste chicken and fried chicken lovers should probably check out at least once, and also a place that Yishun residents would be proud to mention that is in their neighbourhood; we wish all the best to Ah Tan Wings in what is to come!

The Okonomiyaki is not commonly found in Singapore and I was glad that they served it too.
