Overall, I do say this place does live up to the hype.
For example we really like this Unagi Bao RM28. Small in size, big in flavours. Spicy, succulent unagi contrasted by crunchiness of deep fried nori, flavours lifted up with salted egg crumble and julienne cucumber for a refreshing crisp that comes in just right. Served over a basket of sweet potato chips.
THE LINGUIST (MYR 30) Sautéed Prawns and Clams with Chili Linguine, Garlic and Rocket Huge and fresh prawns were spotted!
We enjoyed most of it, especially the Unagi Benedict. It’s essentially Egg Benedict, topped with avocado, poached eggs, barbecue Unagi and Sansho pepper. For those looking for something unique and unconventional, this is the dish for you. We liked the Japanese twist of this brunch dish. Surprisingly Unagi and egg pairs very well together. On top of that, the portion was just nice. Overall, we found this combination rich and deeply satisfying.
The Bold Hot Chocolate (RM16) is worth mentioning too, as they use single origin chocolate from Pahang, Malaysia, which has been fermented in oak barrels for a caramel finish. Dark and smooth, I loved it!
Reasons to try the Wizards at Tribeca Menu: must try the Salted Egg Yolk Chocolate Molten Lava Cake, the Braised Wagyu Cheeks and the Wasabi Warrior cocktail; great value two and three-course set menus; upbeat setting.
落地窗户、高高的天花板,阳光通透特别适合早午时段前往,拍照特好看。餐厅 10am 开门,食物方面以澳式早午餐为主,12pm 后午餐时段也有意大利面、汉堡、三文治等选择。
Eggs Royale @ RM30 A welcoming change from the usual Egg's Royale, Wizards' version features a side of ultra-light, crispy kale leaves served alongside with double stack of poached eggs, creamy avocado and subtly-smoked salmon on a base of brioche bun. While the Hollandaise sauce is all well and good, we would appreciate a more generous helping of that.
La Napoletena was damn good. Perfect thin crust pizza topped with Tomatoes, Buffalo Mozzarella, Jalapeño, Anchovies, Black Olive and Green Capsicum. Yum!! La Napoletena @ RM 30
My Personal Opinion From what I've tried so far, I don't know what wizardry they used but they've magically got themselves yet another sure-fire winner! ^.^ I'm sure I'll be back....perhaps earlier the next time to savour their breakfast and brunch items.
Reasons to visit: pretty setting with loads of natural light and lots of leafy green; refreshing cocktails; specialty coffee and chocolate; beautiful desserts; a reasonably priced inner-city dining experience.
Lunch hour calls for rice, usual practice for Summerkid. Hence an order of Sally Bowles (RM32) which has his favourite tataki salmon as center stage, generously topped over a bed of Japanese rice together with avocado, pickled vegetables, seaweed and onsen egg.
Although the serving of the Wizards Foie Gras Broiche (RM44) came rather small, the dish was essentially rich, and the combination worked well together. The cut of foie gras was nicely done; the broiche was sweet; the creamy duxelle mushrooms was flavorful; the slightly sour mixed berries reduction balanced out the richness; and the crispy bacon simply added textures to the overall dish.
Buttermilk Fried Chicken, 28 ringgit. This was their recommended dish under the burger/sandwiches option and boy, it was yummy! First of all – do you notice the generous size on that fried chicken patty? Yup, it comes in one bag chunk. It was delicious, juicy, crunchy, flavorful. The kimchi cabbage and mango relish gave it that ‘wet’ taste that complimented the ‘hard’ exterior of the burger. I just have one tiny issue with the burger though – the buttermilk was not enough? For instance, if one order a salted egg chicken burger – usually the burger patty is served soaked/covered with the salted egg sauce, right? Here however, the buttermilk sauce just covered the side where the chicken and the bun met, which is not nearly enough. That being said, the burger was nevertheless delicious. Loved it.
