My family and I were totally delighted that even with the Movement Control Order (MCO) in place, we are still able to enjoy our favourite Western pasta dishes and those heavenly chocolate cake with my wholesome wholemeal loaf bread. And even better when it gets delivered right to our doorstep, in just a few clicks.
This set comes with the Le Pont Bread Butter Pudding - This rich, decadent custard bread pudding is a classic casserole, made from bread soaked in creamy vanilla custard. The vanilla sauce was just perfect - deliciously creamy, not too thick and fragrant.
Beef lovers will be delighted with Le Pont Slow-Cooked French Roast Beef ~ Juicy beef ribs slowed-cooked to perfection in traditional French sous vide style.
We had the Seafood Soup Du Tomate RM25, an awesome addition to our dinner. Comforting bowl of seafood loaded soup, pairing pan seared Norwegian Salmon, mussles, clams and prawns with rich, appetizing tomato-base soup.
Verdict: Needless to say, my recommendation of this gathering venue got a stamp of approval from my friends! Good food, warm service and comfortable environment, certainly a place worthy to spend a meal on.
Also from the grill is the Glazed whole king squid (RM40), cooked over the charcoal flames to perfection. Beautifully tender, served with house mayo and pickles.
Let’s start with my favourite… the 48-hour Marinated Mackerel! This perfectly-grilled fish was bursting with flavours, thanks to the marination over 2 days. It’s then slowly and evenly grilled in smoked paprika and served with a spicy citrus sauce and pickles. The flavours and texture of the mackerel were amazing, so good that the dipping sauce wasn’t really necessary. I picked the fish clean.
Le Pont’s Smoke & Grill Platter (RM280), a highly recommended signature that you shouldn’t leave without trying. Dry Aged Smoked Mackerel, Signature BBQ Ribs, Aromatic Smoked Wings, Smoked Beef Brisket, Salmon Jerky, Flat Bread with Garlic & Herbs served with Mackerel Pate, Smoked Cheese and Housemade Sausage – each item is laboriously prepared, beyond your usual barbecue item.
Verdict: If you are fan of smoked or grilled food, you’re bound to love this place. The food scored up to my expectation, not only their signature smoked meat was good, the rustic wood fire oven pizzas was spot on too.
Le Pont Boulengarie is a European inspired bakery and cafe.
Le Pont的麵包都定位於 RM 3 至 RM 6之間，採用麵種發酵麵團的做法，減少乾酵母的用量，完全不添加任何的防腐劑、色素和化學品，天天新鮮出爐。
Le Pont ‘Triple A’ Lamb Shank (RM 48.90) One of the signatures is their famous Le Pont ‘Triple A’ Lamb Shank where the lamb shank is imported from Australia. Using the Australian preparation method, the lamb is slow – braised for 5 hours before it is served. Furnished with the flavoursome house recipe apricot sauce. Sides with the garlic bread at the side. The lamb shank comes awesomely good where they give us with the melt in the mouth sensation without any gammy taste in it.
Barramundi cooked in sous vide style and cauliflower puree accompanied by sautéed vegetables and dollops of beet root sauce and pesto oil. I am a fish lover, this is definitely my favourite! Because of cooking in sous vide style, the Barramundi has a firm and is incredibly moist.
It’s been awhile since last visit to the French bakery since its opening the year before, but the craving for the freshly baked croissant smell still remains vividly in memory. Thought of getting one alongside the array of confectionary, but unfortunately, it had already run out the moment we reached there at the late evening hours. Hence, gotta made do with only pieces for the sweet tooths.
Le Noisette (RM17.90) One of my favourite new dessert has to be the Le Noisette. Made with crunchy hazelnut and chocolate bar, it looks too pretty to be eaten. I munched down on it anyway, savouring every part of the sweetness. Got to love the hazelnuts. plated like a piece of pretty artwork with mascarpone cream to enhance the enjoyment.
The overall experience here is good, with nice food and fast service. The only problem, car parks are limited.
