we concluded the meal, relishing in yet another happy dining experience at Wine And Chef.
Very ordinary squid ink pasta – I couldn’t taste the uni in the sauce at all.
Our review of a restaurant with affordable wine - Wine & Chef in Keong Saik Road Singapore, with pictures of menu, food and the restaurant ...
I’d say if you’re looking for a fresh date idea, or simply a slightly cheaper alternative for some good food and affordable drinks for a hang out evening, Wine and Chef is a darn solid recommendation.
One of the more under-the-radar restaurants at this heritage street is Wine & Chef, which aims to serve up “semi fine-dining food” at pocket friendly prices.
Overall dining experience at Wine and Chef was very enjoyable, with palatable dishes and good wine to cater to our exploratory nature. This place is definitely highly recommended.
We wish we could tell you how the Italian dishes fare but in the absence of it, the reasonably priced Italian wines and Ang’s Hokkien mee (as well as his curry pork knuckles) are reasons enough for a visit.
Wine & Chef Singapore is certainly a restaurant that is high on our drinks and happy hour restaurant list.
Ambience at Wine & Chef is casual and comfortable.
The extensive wine list offers over 250 wines from 42 different wineries spanning North to South Italy to complement the food menu.
We all agreed that the Curry Pork Knuckle ($20) is super-value for money. Its huge portion is good for at least 2 to 3 pax to share.
Personally, I would highly recommend Wine & Chef to all and I see myself returing often especially since its location is within my hood and most importantly, food and wine are at excellent quality and yet wallet-friendly.

It’s a steal for lunch at Wine & Chef – a 3-course menu for $15 nett, you get to choose your starter or soup, a main course and a dessert or drink. Top up a small supplement and you get even better quality dishes!
The pandas ain’t the expert on wine, but getting to sip on some drinks after a day at work and knowing you are in the safe hands of the knowledgeable service crew here, doesn’t sound at all a bad idea.
The dishes we ate are surprisingly delicious and each one pairs well with wine, which the sommelier, William, can recommend to you.
