      Located right outside the heart of KL city, Veg Fish Farm Thai Restaurant is hidden in the luscious forest of Hulu Langat. Not only are you surrounded by nature here, but you get to dine right beside a huge lake where fishes swim freely. You can roam around their farms and even feed the fishes in the lake. What’s even more special is how the waiters ride on speedboat to bring your food piping hot from the kitchen, which is on the other side of the lake.

        Veg Fish Farm Thai Restaurant serves delicious Thai dishes at a hilltop in Kuala Lumpur. Just 15-20 minutes away from the KL City Center, you'll find yourself immersed in the serenity of its surrounding nature and a lake in the middle of the restaurant itself while enjoying a scrumptious meal of fresh seafood dishes.           Regarding the food, I would recommend you to order the Squid Thai Salad (it's delicious) we even requested it for a second time. Mango Coconut Milk is a must for dessert, Coconut to cleanse your palate, Belacan Lady Finger for some fibre and Talapia Thai Steamed With Lime for a source of protein.

            I am not going into details about every single dish, but just want to highlight the crab’s tastiness. Since they also cater to Muslim customers, they are using Ketam Nipah which has a sweeter and delicate flesh, different compared to those you get at the normal Chinese restaurants.

                Butter Prawn (S), 28 ringgit. The Butter Prawn was da bomb! Very Yummy. We ordered the ‘Small’ option and with it came about 8,9 large prawns. The prawns were crunchy and crispy on the outside, chewy and soft on the inside. On top of that, there was the crispy, buttery egg bits used as garnish. This dish came with plenty of that and it was so yummy, that we all had that egg bits with literally everything else we can get our hands on, the rice, the vegetables and etc. You get the idea, right? It literally just melts in your mouth and was a complimenting ingredient to any dish

                    Second dish ; Pakul Belacan, their home-grown fresh vegetable. It taste good, and together with the Belacan, it released a nice fragrance. We will definitely be back for this dish again in the future.

                      So, what the food good? Yes, it was fresh and quite worth it. Did the place make you feel closer to nature? Being surrounded by hills and trees, it's hard not to get lost in Mother nature. That is until the flies start swarming your table. Would I return for another meal? Only if I am in the vicinity.

                        午餐的费用是 RM 229.85 ，包挂食物与饮料， 食物味道还不错，挺新鲜的，最爱是那休闲又优美的坏境！ 小妹说这里午餐与晚餐时间都是高朋满座的，生意好好哦！

                          Having said that, William pointed to the pond where fish are kept inside enclosed nets. "These are from my suppliers and kept alive until ordered. Before we only offered tilapia, Pak Sou Kong and Soon Hock. Now we have seafood and dragon grouper. Our crabs are from Indonesia while the big blue ones are from Australia."

                              Anyway, back to our food adventure. This was one of the dishes we ordered, grilled salted fish stuffed with kaffir lime leaves and a stalk of lemongrass. Mmmm..this was to die for. The aroma and tender meat is etched in my memory. To eat, simply peel off the heavily salted layer of skin.
