The Ultima Wagyu Sashimi features a platter of Japanese Murasaki Uni, Tataki Miyazaki A5 Wagyu with Siberian Caviar, a shot of Mozuku Algae, and Japanese Seasonal Sashimi.
UNI Gallery by OosterBay, known for one of the most treasured Japanese delicacy - sea urchin.
A brick-and-mortar expansion by OosterBay, Uni Gallery offers possibly the largest variety of fine quality uni, alongside with sashimi and other fresh seafood.
The freshness of the uni is important otherwise the taste would be horrible. You can taste the bitterness and the colours are dull too.
Overall, we enjoyed the food here at Uni Gallery, and I look forward to being back on evenings or weekends, when I can have some Sake Wine to pair with my Japanese food for a more lavish experience.
Uni Gallery has several types of uni sashimi on their menus and prices range from S$28 to S$62. The complimentary item must be of the same value or of a lower price.
The prices can’t compare to bigger chains like Sushi Tei or Itacho, but if you’re a diner who appreciates quality ingredients, you will be blown away by the pristine freshness of the seafood offered at Uni Gallery.
I heard they’ve got amazing lunch deals like uni chirashi don set (with soup and green tea) at $28.90++ for lunch! Only for a limited time, catch them before it’s gone!
Fairly affordable and perfect as a work-day lunch option, we can see why this is a popular choice amongst those who work in the area.
Although the name of the restaurant gives the impression that it only peddles uni, they also have a good selection of fresh sashimi that’s also worth trying out.
Good place for uni lovers to try different types of uni at prices lower than high end Japanese restaurants!
I think this is great opportunity for the staff to educate diners on origins, type, gender, taste profile of uni to make the experience a more interactive one.
