Makhan By Kitchen Mafia. Sure. Massively mafia eating and massively mafia boozing. What a scene when we arrived before 7.30pm. Rocking and rolling. Big groups tucking into food, some waiting to be served, whereas the bar area, inside and outside, spilling over with customers drinking to glory. I could also hear music blasting from the first floor once we secured a table at the far end dining area. Oh-my! Happening. Akin all mafias are in Makhan, indeed a "Muhibbah Malaysia Boleh" crowd. Believe me. A sight I truly admired. Malaysians of all walks of life coming together for pleasuring into food and of course booze, compared to the deceiving web of Whatsapp where Malaysians debate on racial disparities, additionally, voice out their sense and insensibility on which political leader they are trying their level best to boot out. Colorful Malaysia, isn't it? I know. But in Makhan By Kitchen Mafia, Malaysians fearlessly blend in as “One/Satu Malaysia”. Fantastic.

Run by the same folks behind Hello by Kitchen Mafia, Makhan by Kitchen Mafia is their newest food venture, that is comfortably tucked in The Gasket Alley, situated right next to Jaya One. There are two sections to their menu - one for all-things-British, and the other for Northern Indian cuisine, a rather uncommon, but not exactly a surprising combination.

This option was my choice. It consisted of Baked Flat Bread (rosemary & herbs) + Butter Chicken + Couliflower + Sweet Acar + Pickles + Lentils + Papadum. This was really delicious, it totally makes sense why this was one of their popular items. It literally was one whole plate of yummy variety. The butter chicken was on point, not too spicy and just right in its flavoring. The bread was basically a tinner version of your typical naan and with the flavoring from the rosemary and herbs, it was flavorful too. I liked letting the bread soaked in the butter chicken gravy for a bit because the bread gets a lil soggy, which makes it ever yummier. The couliflower, acar and pickles were equally as good – a burst of flavors, sweet, sour and everything in between.
