Over the past few decades, we have tried many restaurants PJ has to offer – these include coffeeshops as well. Many popular ones have often been documented on other sites, so we wanted to highlight a few ‘hidden gems’ here instead. I have not been to Teow Chew Lor in a long time. The food was not appealing to me but as Kris pointed out, they serve braised meats and that would be right up my alley.
One key reason for recommending One World Hotel to travelers would be its insane proximity to 1 Utama Shopping Centre; there's a direct pathway and the shopping centre was huge!
Verdict: Both food that we tried were just average at best, so don’t put too high expectation like me, this Kopitiam still a viable lunch option if you find yourself at this area.
Considering Yeast’s reputation, the food was not up to the standard I expected. However, I wasn’t completely let down by our dishes, and I’d be willing to try this place again. Yeast is a much more relaxing place to enjoy a meal without battling the crowds from the mall.
We honestly enjoyed all the dishes, and we must also commend the excellent service here. The staff are always so attentive and we liked how they actually prep the dishes individually – a service that’s mostly reserved for more high-end Chinese restaurants or wedding banquets.
This is the Ttukbaegi Bulgogi from the main menu. I had forgotten that the nice sets meals that I had been enjoying are only offered at lunchtime. The dinner set meals are only limited to soups/stews such as this one. This was very good - beef bulgogi. As usual, I packed away the carbs for my lahling to eat.
