Hey, guys & Assalamualaikum 👋. Thank God that Klang Valley is now in Phase 3, so it easy to go out for time being. This time video, my friend and me we try ...
Old Hands Cafeteria is a Muslim-friendly Japanese cafe, established by Mr & Mrs Okamoto who are natives from Japan. It is renowned for their Red Bean Daifuku Mochi that usually sold out within minutes. It is strongly advisable to pre-order your mochi Here 11 days in advance because you might not be able to get it if you walk in at 3pm. They are also selling a variety of buns, taiyaki, cakes and drinks whereby all the items are freshly handmade. Check out their Menu and pre-order their items to avoid disappointment.
We also enjoyed the Sausage Roll, Cinnamon Roll, and Sultana Raisin Almond Bun, which sold for a reasonable price of RM4.50 each. The buns were notably soft and fluffy – as Mr. Okamoto does not use any yeast, preservatives or bread softener.
On my day of visit, the Special was Mee hoon Siam, which was awesome because I was in the mood for it. I liked it a whole lot, it was packed with flavor – the lemongrass taste was evident through every spoonful you take, yay!! I also liked the fact that the noodles were not overly wet, soggy. Some restaurants like serving them ‘basah’, which I am usually okay with but not this day. On the side, there were three pieces of boneless chicken wrapped in pandan leaf which tasted awesome too. It was good enough to have on its own and also was complimentary with the noodle. Yum!
I would say it is appetizing to mixed the very dry and crispy fried chicken with the slightly not too spicy curry gravy on the rice.

Both the Chicken feet and Fish sauce fried rice noodles are well done!
Lion’s head Meatballs is a dish that is made to depict Lions head so don’t freak out just yet as it’s made out of pork and not lions. This Chinese dish is made out of enormous pork meatballs stewed with vegetables. There are two versions: first, the plain one where meatballs are stewed or steamed with Napa cabbages and second, the red version where it is cooked with cabbage, bamboo shoots or tofu in a soy-sauce-based sauce. The large meatball resembles lion’s head and the chinese cabbage as its mane. It originated from the Jiangsu province and it later a popular Shanghai cuisine with the influx of migrants during the late 19th to early 20th century. Review: 6 / 10 👍👍😋😋 Opening Hours: 07:00am - 09:30pm
For good bak kut teh fix without the need to travel to Klang, we like Meat in Claypot in Centrepoint, Bandar Utama. A ThokohMakan food review.
Most if not all of the main dishes here are Pork based, if you like a hearty pork meal, this is likely the right place for you!
Fried Chicken Rice tasted good but the fried chicken was a little oily for us. Fried Chicken @ RM 6.50
I called to Fish-O-Fish with Latte.
The roasted pork was western style, like something you would get at Boon Signature Roast Pork but an inferior version. It did not taste fresh and the skin was not crispy
Prawning or prawn fishing looks deceptively easy but it’s trickier than it seems. A stone’s throw away from 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Prawning Utama reels in enthusiasts who are game at landing their own catch here from 3-6 pm.
I like this place, it is very casual and there are quiet corners one can sit an chill alone with own beer without disturbing others or being distrubed.
I think aged is catching up, where now casual drinking place is one of a main option that I am looking for, where we can sit, chill and enjoy a great conversation with friends. Green Dot Stables that located at Center Point, Bandar Utama is one of an ideal place to hang out.
I ordered Ais Kacang to share with my sister as we were too full to try their Rojak. I always spot this stall crowded with people taking away Rojak & Cendol in the late evening. They have a couple of tables and chairs for the customer to dine-in but you are always welcome to take away.
MC's Shack at CenterPoint also serves good old German Sausage as well as Steaks, I am thinking of dining here next time.
Spicy Glass Noodle with Seafood (RM25) For those who love some kick of spiciness, grab this spicy glass noodles which is packed with kick of spiciness and topped with the fresh scallops, squids and juicy prawns.
Seafood Tom Yum was delicious as usual that both of us loved it. Small Seafood Tom Yum Soup @ RM 40
So we were back at 10 Boulevard to eat at Chef Low Organic Kitchen but it was closed so we walked around and decided to try this eatery named "Wellness Recipe".
Personally, I don’t believe in plant based diet so becoming vegetarian is out of the question. I do however, believe in eating clean and cutting off as much processed food and sugar from my diet. So if we think alike, then you should check out Wellness Recipe.
I was accompanying a friend at 10 Boulevard (along Sprint Highway near Kampung Sungai Kayu Ara) for an errand during lunch time so we randomly walked into a bar/eatery (Nouveau 7) when we saw a signboard advertising set lunches with drinks at MYR15 nett each. I chose a pork burger with a hot honey lemon drink. Nouveau is the French word for New.
We were at 10 Boulevard again and saw this eatery so decided to try the food there.
