Located beneath the sprawling canopy of a majestic tree, adjacent to the quaint Hui Wang Cafe, a culinary legacy has silently thrived for four decades. The unassuming stall is where Uncle Ah Tian, a revered figure among food enthusiasts, has diligently served up the timeless allure of Hokkien Mee. With an unwavering commitment to tradition and flavor, Uncle Ah Tian has garnered a loyal following, turning his stall into a beloved culinary landmark.

The Roti Canai here is one of the most famous in town where most of the Penangites will recommend you this place for the Roti and also the Char Hor Fun here well acclaimed to be one of the best in town.

This stall of Fried Rice King is run by the brother Ah Hao and the option of fried rice still serves the classic version, which the signature being their Pai Kut Ong Fried Rice (Sweet & Sour Pork Ribs). The fried rice here is packed with chargrill aroma and is flavourful.
The stall just next to Jelutong Wet Market is selling delicious wantan mee and special lam mee, this stall has been operating for more than 50 years. The texture of the wantan mee is so bouncy and the mixture of the sauce is so flavourful. Besides the wantan new, the lam new that selling at this stall is very special too. Rather than call it lam mee, I reckon it looks more to lor mee. The coffee that is sold at the stall beside here is also very thick and flavourful.
Koay Chap at Jelutong Morning Market located in Seong Huat Coffee Shop has been around for 40 years. This Koay Chap is one of the most reasonable and delicious in Penang. The taste of the Koay Chap is packed with herbs flavor and the intestine is well washed and proceeded. The intestine is without pork odor while packed with herbs aroma.
My personal favorite here is their fried Tua Pan Koay Teow but i heard many people recommend their Curry Noodles. The Curry Noodles is spicy and you can mix with Bihun and Noodles. The serving size is not big. If you are not a fan of pork blood curd, remember to inform them not to put it in as it will always be serve with pork blood curd. Overall dining in here is nice but the service is a little slow.
The stall in front Hooi Wang Cafe under the tree has one of the delicious and reasonably priced Char Koay Teow. RM6 for a big plate and with duck egg is hard to get in Penang nowadays. Moreover the prawns given are big and fresh.
The pan mee is instantly cooked for each order and the broth is very thick and aromatic. Each process of cooking is done with heart and sincerity. The same goes to the nasi lemak.
As for taste wise, it appears to be lackluster for us and probably we will return if we were too lazy to commute to elsewhere for a morning dim sum.
