Delicious and flavourful. This is a good appetizer from the Thai cuisine. Pair it with the sweet and sour thai chilli to enjoy it.
Its one of the reliable chained Teochew Noodle stall. Its a simple dish yet satisfying to our tummy.
The roast pork or sio bak was very good with crispy crackling. The char siew was not bad with sweetness and a bit of caramelisation. The duck was so so though; I thought it was insufficiently flavoured.
Though the stall is new, I find that the braised taste was better than average. Though they name their Business as One Star Braised Duck, I will be very happy to award them more than just one star here.
I’d usually turn to other conventional picks like nasi ayam panggang and gado gado whenever I crave Indonesian food. But, Mee Bagus has introduced the humble Mee Ayam dish into the mix with their version, and I’m grateful to them for that.
The Mee Bagus Special aka minced chicken noodles was very good, flavourful and meaty, just missing the pork lard fragrance. I think the nice decor even made the food taste nicer.
Skinny Chef dishes out delicious Western food at an affordable price, and I’ll pay them a visit if I happen to be in Clementi.
For me, the noodles here were really tasty, eggy and springy, and coated with a sauce that was nice and fragrant with pork lard and shallots, with a hint of piquant ketchup. The fishballs were unremarkable though. Overall quite nice.
Skinny Chef is definitely worth a trip down to Clementi. Come in the evening for some good food and a round of drinks!
It is also my favourite place to go for a satisfying cha siew pau.
